Why Socure?

Socure is building the identity trust infrastructure for the digital economy — verifying 100% of good identities in real time and stopping fraud before it starts. The mission is big, the problems are complex, and the impact is felt by businesses, governments, and millions of people every day.

We hire people who want that level of responsibility. People who move fast, think critically, act like owners, and care deeply about solving customer problems with precision. If you want predictability or narrow scope, this won’t be your place. If you want to help build the future of identity with a team that holds a high bar for itself — keep reading.

Overview

Socure is launching a brand-new business line—Workforce Verification—to secure the full employment lifecycle by embedding identity intelligence from application to onboarding and beyond. As the Head of Workforce Verification, you will own strategy and execution end-to-end: building integrations with leading HRIS and ATS platforms, shaping a modern partner ecosystem, and commercializing offerings with full P&L accountability. You’ll leverage Socure’s platform strengths—RiskOS orchestration, Verify+, Predictive DocV, Digital Intelligence, and our networked identity graph—to create a category-defining product line that enterprises and platforms can adopt at scale.

This leader will recruit and develop an elite, product-minded engineering team that ships fast, integrates deeply, and operates with an ownership mindset across 50+ HR platforms and key third-party vendors.

Why this role is uniquely compelling
  • Build a net-new business line with direct P&L ownership, backed by Socure’s platform scale, risk models, and go-to-market motion.

  • Lead a dedicated Workforce Verification pod focused on HRIS/ATS integrations across 50+ platforms and 3rd-party providers (e.g., Validia, Nametag) to accelerate one‑to‑many distribution.

  • Stand on proven momentum: early customer traction, a growing pipeline across ATS/HRIS ecosystems (e.g., Greenhouse, Workday, Lever, SmartRecruiters, iCIMS, ADP, Oracle HCM), and a clear integration strategy via marketplaces and unified APIs.

  • Build on real-world results from our own rollout: after implementing Workforce Verification internally, Socure reduced spam/fake applications from 1,400+ to under 200 in two days, while elevating explainability for recruiters.

  • Leverage RiskOS to orchestrate identity, fraud, and compliance checks with 65+ pre-integrations—meeting HR buyers where they already work (ATS/HRIS) while providing best-in-class explainability and controls.

  • Own the integration playbook and partner mix (e.g., Greenhouse, Workday, “unified” integration providers such as Merge/Unified/Kombo) to move rapidly across the ecosystem.

What you’ll do
  • Define the product and technical strategy for Workforce Verification across the hiring and employment lifecycle, from passive applicant screening to step‑up verification, onboarding, payroll/benefits changes, and ongoing reverification.

  • Build, lead, and scale a high-performing product engineering team that ships resilient integrations and enterprise-grade capabilities with measurable customer impact.

  • Deliver one‑to‑many distribution via native integrations and unified APIs; standardize schemas, events, and write‑backs to ATS/HRIS systems for frictionless adoption.

  • Own the business: forecasting, pricing/packaging, usage economics, and margin—partnering with Product, Sales, and Finance to drive ARR and contribution margin.

  • Establish a pragmatic partner strategy across background checks, work authorization/I‑9 ecosystems, and deepfake/media authenticity vendors; evaluate build/partner/acquire decisions to accelerate time-to-market.

  • Embed platform leverage: unify Verify+, Predictive DocV with liveness, Digital Intelligence, Sigma Fraud/Synthetic, Graph Intelligence, and eCBSV where appropriate to maximize accuracy and inclusivity while minimizing friction.

  • Codify enterprise-grade trust: privacy, compliance, model governance, auditability, and equitable performance; ensure high availability and sub‑second decisioning SLAs where required.

  • Create a best-practice integration and certification program for partners and SIs; operationalize playbooks for onboarding, observability, monitoring, and lifecycle management.

  • Partner across GTM for category creation: messaging, enablement, lighthouse wins, marketplace launches, and OEM motions.

What you’ll bring
  • 12+ years in software engineering with 5+ years leading product engineering for platform/integration-heavy domains; proven track record shipping high-scale SaaS integrations and partner ecosystems.

  • Expertise in distributed systems and API-first architectures; fluency with webhook/event models, data normalization, tenant isolation, and secure write-back patterns.

  • Operating range from 0→1 incubation to 1→n scale: you can design the product roadmap, stand up P&L management, and drive repeatable go-to-market motions.

  • Familiarity with HR tech ecosystems (ATS, HRIS, background screening, work authorization/verification) and the enterprise buyer journey across HR, Security, and Compliance.

  • Demonstrated success building with and around an orchestration platform (e.g., RiskOS or analogous) to unify internal and third‑party signals with explainable outcomes.

  • High bar for privacy, security, availability, fairness, and model governance; you can drive policy and implementation details with credibility.

  • Executive presence and cross-functional influence; ability to recruit, retain, and mentor senior product engineers and tech leads.
