Head of Technology AI-First IT Automation Platform

About Us
We’re not building another IT company.
We’re building the world’s first Agentic MSP — where AI systems don’t just assist technicians, they work alongside them.
Our agents capture, reason, and act across IT environments, making infrastructure self-healing, incidents self-resolving, and humans radically more effective.

We’re part of Infinity Constellation, a portfolio of AI-powered service companies redefining how human and machine work should actually look in practice.
This is an early, high-leverage builder role — think hands on keyboard, architecture from scratch, no legacy baggage.

If you want to sit in an ivory tower, this isn’t it.
If you want to build the technical brain of a next-gen AI-driven MSP, read on.

The Role
We’re looking for a Head of Technology who thrives on building early, moving fast, and experimenting at the edge of what’s possible.
You’ll architect and ship the agentic backbone of the company — the frameworks, pipelines, and feedback loops that let machines run IT.
This is a doer-founder role: code first, organize later, and turn chaos into clarity.

You’ll:
• Architect and build the AI + automation core of the platform.
• Deploy and monitor real production agents solving real customer problems.
• Translate operational pain into intelligent, self-healing systems.
• Scale a lean team (5–10 engineers) obsessed with velocity and impact.

Your Impact
You’re not here to “support” operations.
You’re here to teach machines how to run them.
Every line of code you write will help thousands of devices, tickets, and users work faster — autonomously.
This is the role that defines how humans and AI collaborate in IT for the next decade.

Key Responsibilities

1. Architect the Agentic Core
• Design multi-agent architectures that blend reasoning, memory, and human feedback.
• Build orchestration pipelines using frameworks like LangGraph, CrewAI, Autogen, PydanticAI, or your own invention.
• Establish standards for context management, telemetry, evaluation, and security.
• Make every agent observable, debuggable, and improvable — like any great teammate.

2. Automate IT Operations
• Build intelligent agents that handle helpdesk triage, monitoring, patching, and access workflows.
• Integrate deeply with tools like JumpCloud, HaloITSM, Google Workspace, and AWS/GCP APIs.
• Implement human-in-the-loop reinforcement systems so agents get smarter every time they’re corrected.
• Drive toward the holy grail: self-healing infrastructure.

3. Scale Infrastructure & Reliability
• Build and operate cloud systems (AWS preferred) using EKS, Helm, Terraform, FastAPI, Pydantic.
• Design observability, cost-tracking, and auto-remediation from day one.
• Make reliability, not bureaucracy, your guiding principle.

4. Build & Lead the Engineering Org
• Recruit and mentor engineers who can think and ship independently.
• Define your own engineering culture: pragmatic, curious, allergic to red tape.
• Lead by example — your commits set the tone.

Who You Are
• Builder-first: happiest when coding, debugging, or prototyping.
• Systems-minded: you can make complex systems simple and resilient.
• AI-fluent: you understand agent orchestration, not just API calls.
• Pragmatic: you move fast and trade perfect for done (without breaking everything).
• Operationally literate: you get IT, DevOps, and real-world reliability.

Location & Schedule
This is a remote, global role, but you’ll work primarily on New York (EST) hours.
We don’t care where you live — just that you can think fast, write clearly, and deliver results.

Qualifications

Required
• 5+ years building distributed systems, with at least 2 years deploying or orchestrating ML/LLM workloads in production.
• Expert in Python, familiar with FastAPI/Django/Pydantic.
• Experience with LangGraph, CrewAI, Autogen, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks.
• Strong grounding in MLOps, observability, and telemetry (MLflow, W&B, Ray, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Proven record deploying production workloads on AWS (EKS/Helm/Terraform).
• Experience leading small, high-output technical teams.

Nice to Have
• Background in IT automation, RMM, or endpoint management.
• Experience fine-tuning or evaluating LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, HuggingFace).
• Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation and evaluation pipelines.
• Startup or founder experience — you know how to move from whiteboard to prod in a week.

Why You’ll Love It Here
• You’ll work at the intersection of AI, automation, and real-world IT.
• You’ll have the freedom to build the stack you believe in — not inherit one.
• You’ll shape not just a product, but an entire category.

And if we do this right?
You’ll be able to say you helped design the first generation of autonomous IT agents.

If you’ve ever wanted to teach machines how to run IT, this is your shot.
