About Ramp

At Ramp, we’re rebuilding how modern finance teams function in the age of AI. We believe AI isn’t just the next big wave. It’s the new foundation for how business gets done. We’re investing in that future — and in the people bold enough to build it.

Ramp is a financial operations platform designed to save companies time and money. Our all-in-one solution combines payments, corporate cards, vendor management, procurement, travel booking, and automated bookkeeping with built-in intelligence to maximize the impact of every dollar and hour spent. But we’re not just building features powered by AI. We’re building a platform where it’s agents who chase receipts, close books, flag risks, and surface insights. That way, teams can reclaim their time and reinvest in what actually matters.

More than 40,000 businesses, from family-owned farms to e-commerce giants to space startups, have saved $10B and 27.5M hours with Ramp. Founded in 2019, Ramp powers the fastest-growing corporate card and bill payment platform in America, and enables over $80 billion in purchases each year.

Ramp’s investors include Thrive Capital, Sands Capital, General Catalyst, Founders Fund, Khosla Ventures, Sequoia Capital, Greylock, and Redpoint, as well as over 100 angel investors who were founders or executives of leading companies.

Ramp has been named to Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies list and LinkedIn’s Top U.S. Startups for more than 3 years, as well as the Forbes Cloud 100, CNBC Disruptor 50, and TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential Companies.

About the Role

Put simply, Financial and Issuing Partnerships is a top 3 priority for us and this role allows you to shape the fintech ecosystem with critical, revolutionary deals. Ramp is hiring a Head of Financial Partnerships to identify, execute, and lead our most critical relationships across issuing, banking, and financial technology partners — both domestically and internationally. As Ramp expands its global footprint, the strength and structure of our financial partnerships are essential to enabling our product roadmap and delivering on our mission to save customers time and money.

In this high-visibility, high-impact role, you'll oversee both our issuing partnerships and broader financial partner ecosystem globally. This includes banks, payment infrastructure providers, and fintech vendors. You’ll lead strategic planning, execution, and ongoing optimization of these partnerships to support product launches, regulatory needs, and long-term scalability. This is a leadership role that requires a blend of strategic thinking, deal execution, product collaboration, and people management.

What You'll Do
  • Own and lead Ramp’s financial partnerships strategy — across issuing, account-to-account payments, stored value, and international expansion

  • Develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing team across financial and issuing partnerships

  • Oversee existing issuing partnerships while identifying new opportunities to deepen value and support product innovation

  • Identify, negotiate, and execute complex deals with financial institutions, issuing banks, payment networks, and fintech providers

  • Launch and scale international partnerships, including cross-border issuing and account-to-account money movement, in partnership with Product, Legal, and Compliance

  • Formalize and maintain relationships with banks and infrastructure providers across multiple geographies

  • Work closely with Product and Engineering to identify opportunities to leverage partner APIs and infrastructure to power new features, enable international expansion, and improve customer experiences

  • Serve as an internal subject matter expert on issuing, payments infrastructure, and partner capabilities to inform product roadmaps and long-term infrastructure strategy

  • Stay informed on industry trends including regulatory changes, stablecoin innovation, and global financial infrastructure

What You'll Need
  • Working knowledge of and a body of deal reflective of that:

  1. International money movement involving banks, fintechs, and all payment rails; this should be reflected in a strong body of work involving multiple deals with established partners and startups

  2. Domestic money movement

  3. Issuing, ideally (not required) in multiple countries

  • Your depth of knowledge in each area may vary but the first (international money movement) is essential and should be deep

  • 10+ years of experience in Business Development, Partnerships, or related functions in fintech or financial services, including 5–7+ years managing high-performing partnerships organizations across direct and indirect partner relationships

  • Proven track record of setting and executing impactful partnership strategies that directly support product and business outcomes

  • Strong understanding of account-to-account payments, stored value systems, and issuing models (domestic at minimum; global a plus)

  • Experience negotiating and managing deals with banks, card networks, processors, or fintech providers

  • Demonstrated success launching or expanding international financial partnerships

  • Strong collaboration skills — especially with Product, Legal, Compliance, and Risk

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with an ability to manage executive-level relationships

  • Experience leading and scaling teams in a high-growth, fast-paced environment

Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience launching issuing programs abroad

  • Familiarity with stablecoins and digital asset-based payments

  • Understanding of local regulatory and compliance frameworks in international markets

  • Experience in high-growth tech or fintech startups

  • Background in managing both technical and commercial elements of complex partnerships

Benefits (for U.S.-based full-time employees)
  • 100% medical, dental & vision insurance coverage for you

    • Partially covered for your dependents

    • One Medical annual membership

  • 401k (including employer match on contributions made while employed by Ramp)

  • Flexible PTO

  • Fertility HRA (up to $5,000 per year)

  • WFH stipend to support your home office needs

  • Wellness stipend

  • Parental Leave

  • Relocation support to NYC or SF

  • Pet insurance
