Position Overview:
The Head of Product Finance is responsible for the overall finance accountability and successful planning and execution of projects relating to revenue and expenditure for the Global Product Management and Development group. This role serves as a strong advisor to the leadership team to ensure that all financial related matters are clearly understood and considered prior to critical decision making. Responsibilities include creating budgets, forecasting expenditures, risk analysis, and ensuring that projects and division costs stay within financial limits. The Head of Product Finance will proactively look for ways to save money, increase revenue, and seek opportunities to improve efficiency. Responsible for the business unit’s overall financial strategy, budget, performance goals, and reporting requirements. You will create, organize, and implement strategies and business programs, and manage finance projects.
What you'll do:

Leadership and Team Management
- Oversee finance team to enable high levels of business partnership and customer service.
- Set PMPD Finance strategy and planning as it relates to driving business value through process improvement and cost containment.
- Establish succession plans and provide leadership, mentorship, training, feedback and general support to finance and other team members.
- Collaborate and work cross functionally with other departments on strategic projects, ensuring all functions are working towards one common goal.

Financial
- Partner with the leadership team to develop and implement the short- and long-term objectives of the group.
- Ensure the business unit delivers the financial plan and strategic goals over a 5 year period, driving growth and profitability.
- Create and maintain the budget and cost center for the Product Management Product Development business unit.
- Create, implement and maintain a global product database.
- Financial reporting and analysis, including providing insights to the wider business on performance metrics and areas of improvement.
- Prepare financial analysis and presentations for ELT and BOARD meetings.
- Driving the financial planning and forecasting of the business unit.
- Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Keep the financial records in accordance with local accounting principles, tax, legal and Hunter Douglas requirements.
- Maintain and improve the internal controls for the business unit.
Project Management
- Organize roles and responsibilities for the PMPD group.
- Find and implement efficiency improvements for the ways of working within the group.
- Create global project plans, ensuring that projects stay on track financially.
- Regularly review project costs and make recommendations for improvements.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews of projects to ensure they were successful financially.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that they are happy with the project’s progress.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Position requires regular and predictable attendance.
- Employees are held accountable for all duties of this job.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
Requires the employee to be a leader in quality control and highly knowledgeable in utilizing financial reporting tools. Must maintain and support a culture of compliance, ethics and integrity and will also maintain knowledge of policies and procedures while performing in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, external laws & accreditation standards as they relate to the Accounting/Finance department.

- Expert knowledge of the principles of Accounting/ Corporate Finance, business principles, laws and best practices.
- Expert knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
- Strong skill in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP, EPM)
- Strong analytical mind with a strategic ability
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Expert knowledge of budget preparation practices.
- Expert knowledge of all Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Expert knowledge of the principles of budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Expert knowledge of cost Accounting for a manufacturing facility.
- Expert knowledge of the use of algebraic equation writing utilizing Excel worksheets.
- Expert knowledge of SAP and the extrapolation of data for Accounting/Finance purposes.
- Expert knowledge of communications to prepare and compose written budget justifications and conduct public presentations.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective work relationships with members across the organization.
- Accomplished in driving change, achieving results and continuously improving performance.
- Ability to communicate expectations and standards of performance to members of the Finance department.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication and interpersonal abilities
- Acceptable Training and Experience includes BSc/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus. 5+ years’ experience in financial project management. Previous leadership experience preferred. Results oriented with proven ability to develop and execute strategically.
