Key Responsibilities:
- Compensation Strategy: Develop and drive a comprehensive compensation strategy that aligns with business objectives, supports employee engagement, and maintains market competitiveness
- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research and salary benchmarking to ensure we stay competitive in attracting and retaining talent in a variety of job profiles
- Pay Structure Design: Align and manage base pay structures, incentive plans, and bonus programs that motivate performance and reward results
- Equity Management: Partner with Accounting to oversee equity compensation programs, including ESPP, stock option grants and long-term incentive plans, ensuring alignment with company goals
- Compliance and Policy: Partner with Legal to ensure all compensation programs comply with legal requirements, while also aligning with company policies, philosophy, and goals
- Collaboration and Influence: Work closely with HR teams, Finance, and department leaders to ensure solutions meet both business and employee needs
- Data-Driven Insights: Leverage analytics to create reports, forecasts, and models that inform executive leadership on compensation-related decisions and provide strategic insight
- Leadership and Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to HR and broader teams on compensation-related topics, staying ahead of market trends and best practices
Managerial Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of compensation analysts, providing direction, feedback, and support for success and development
- Performance Management: Set team objectives, monitor progress, and provide coaching to enhance individual and team performance
- Talent Development: Promote continuous learning and career growth through training and development opportunities
- Project Management: Oversee multiple compensation projects, ensuring accurate and timely completion as well as alignment with business goals
- Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate team resources to meet both operational and strategic needs
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience; MBA preferred
- 5+ years of experience in compensation management or related roles, with proven expertise in developing compensation strategies
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and market trends to make informed decisions
- Experience in designing, analyzing and managing various compensation programs, including base pay, bonus structures, equity plans as well as incentive compensation plans to include sales compensation
- Expertise in compensation software, job evaluation systems, and tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for simplifying complex concepts for various audiences
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, pay equity regulations, and compliance standards
- A strategic mindset with a passion for driving company success through innovative compensation practices
