The Opportunity:

Ren is looking for a sales leader who can run a disciplined, high-performing sales organization and think like a business developer who always looks past the channels that already exist.

This senior role has two equally important mandates. The first is to make our advisor-facing sales motion as productive and scalable as possible. The second is to build new professional channel relationships that bring charitable planning into conversations where it isn't yet part of the discussion.

If you've built a career in financial services, believe the industry thinks too small about philanthropy, and want to drive growth that does good in the world, this role is for you.

What You'll Do:

Own the number

  • Own sales targets for the advisor and professional channels. Your team covers regions across firms, and Customer Success covers individual firms, so you'll set shared targets and clear attribution rules with Customer Success and RevOps
  • Forecast accurately to the Chief Growth Officer
  • Invest sales resources where they earn the highest return, using unit economics such as acquisition cost, payback period, and asset growth per rep to decide where to scale, hold, or exit
  • Own the sales budget and, with RevOps and Finance, design incentive compensation that rewards the right behaviors
  • Plan capacity and hiring, setting a high talent bar and deciding when to add headcount and when to raise productivity

Set the sales strategy

Donor-advised funds depend on financial advisors, but most advisors lack the expertise, incentives, or interest to become philanthropy experts. Our advisor-facing teams fill that gap with education, inspiration, and support. You'll build the strategy that turns this work into a repeatable competitive advantage and establishes Ren as the charitable planning expert every advisory practice needs. This is not a traditional direct sales model, and the economics differ from selling investment products.

  • Set the strategy and own results for advisor activation, both at firms with white-labeled DAF programs powered by Ren and at firms with no in-house program
  • Grow our complex assets and charitable trust business, including with advisors whose firms use a non-Ren DAF program
  • Own a national coverage model across regions, firms, and professional segments; define segmentation and territory requirements, and partner with RevOps on scoring and coverage design
  • Serve on the Growth leadership team and Ren's senior leadership team, bringing market and channel insight to company strategy and product priorities

Build the operating system for performance

You'll raise team performance by building the systems and conditions that make strong results the natural outcome.

  • Own pipeline outcomes and accountability; define the requirements for pipeline systems, data, and reporting, and partner with RevOps to build them
  • Build a data-driven culture around leading and lagging indicators and continuous improvement
  • Own the advisor adoption model: define the stages advisors move through, the signals that show where each advisor stands, and the skills reps need to move advisors forward
  • Use the adoption model to coach the team and to ensure a training and coaching program that measurably improves rep performance
  • Design the organizational structure that gets the most from each team and rep
  • Create clear career paths within and across teams that make Ren the best place to build a sales career

Turn advisors and professionals into advocates

Our growth depends on converting the professionals who influence wealth decisions into champions who bring Ren in before we ask. You'll build and scale that network.

  • Grow the financial advisor channel at the practitioner level by deepening existing relationships and expanding into new networks and underserved segments, with a deliberate strategy for building champions
  • Lead in-person awareness in every region through presentations, office visits, and events, using Marketing's materials and campaigns to activate advisors
  • Build and execute playbooks for each key segment with Product Marketing, defining the why, how, and what behind each motion
  • Own advisor activation and expansion, and partner with Customer Success on handoffs so every FA interaction is consistent and valuable
  • Build relationships with the practitioners present when clients have the means and motivation to give:

Private wealth: family offices and private wealth management practices

Transactions: stock plan directors, investment bankers, business brokers, and others supporting

                         liquidity events and M&A

Tax and accounting: CPAs, tax advisors, law firm tax counsel, outsourced CFO firms

Legal and estate planning: estate planning attorneys, trust and estate counsel, probate attorneys

Investors and fund managers: hedge funds, private equity firms, venture capital firms

  • Partner with the Wealth Firm Partnerships team on opportunities that span practitioner and institutional levels
  • Represent Ren as a credible peer and thought leader across the advisor and professional community

Who You Are:

You have enough financial services experience to be credible with advisors, attorneys, and CPAs, but you don't think the way the industry thinks. You spot distribution opportunities others miss and build relationships before they look like relationships. You'd rather pursue what's possible than repeat what you've done before.

You develop talent intentionally. Your teams trust you because you're clear, consistent, and invested in their growth. You're entrepreneurial enough to build from scratch and organized enough to systematize what works.

People inside and outside the company enjoy working with you. You build trust quickly, and the industry's best practitioners are glad to hear from you.

What You Bring:

  • Senior leadership experience in financial services, wealth management, fintech, or adjacent professional services
  • A track record of building or materially expanding go-to-market strategies, not just managing existing ones
  • Experience owning a revenue or asset growth number, a budget, and sales compensation design
  • A record of disciplined investment decisions across channels, grounded in unit economics
  • Experience developing referral or partnership relationships with non-traditional professional channels (legal, tax, accounting, transaction-adjacent)
  • A track record of building high-performing teams
  • Comfort in a lean, entrepreneurial environment where resources are earned

Why This Role:

Charitable planning is one of the most underserved disciplines in wealth management. Ren has the platforms, expertise, and relationships to make it central to how advisors and their clients think about wealth.

This role isn't about running a familiar playbook. It's for a creative problem solver, strategic thinker, and mission-driven people leader ready to take on the incumbents who've held this space too long.

Ren is an equal employment opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.
