As the Manager of Hardware Engineering – NPI, you will lead and expand a team responsible for the design validation, integration, and deployment of new hardware systems at scale. Your team will bridge the gap between hardware design, manufacturing, and large-scale deployment — ensuring new technologies are introduced efficiently, validated rigorously, and delivered reliably.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, including Supply Chain, Operations, Data Center, and Systems Engineering, to define technical requirements, optimize performance, and establish scalable processes for hardware deployment.
About The Role:- Team Leadership & Growth
- Build and lead a world-class multidisciplinary NPI team (mechanical, thermal, electrical, and power engineers).

- Develop measurable goals for the team and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Program & Process Ownership
- Oversee the full NPI lifecycle: from early design validation and prototyping through volume ramp and production handoff.
- Define and refine processes for hardware bring-up, integration, testing, and deployment.
- Identify and eliminate process bottlenecks to accelerate time-to-deploy for new hardware programs.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with Systems Engineering, Operations, and Data Center teams to ensure seamless hardware integration.
- Collaborate with vendors and manufacturing partners to drive continuous improvements in product design and reliability.
- Serve as the senior escalation point for hardware issues encountered during validation and deployment.
- Technical Oversight
- Guide the design and review of mechanical, thermal, electrical, and power systems for new platforms.
- Drive the creation of test plans, performance validation procedures, and quality metrics.
- Analyze and optimize performance and efficiency across hardware configurations at scale.
- Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in hardware engineering or NPI environments, with 3+ years in a management or technical leadership role.
- Proven track record of delivering new hardware platforms from concept to production in large-scale environments.
- Deep understanding of one or more engineering disciplines: mechanical, thermal, electrical, or power systems.
- Experience working closely with hardware vendors and OEMs to resolve design, validation, or manufacturing issues.

The base salary range for this role is $165,000 to $260,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).
