Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) has technology, engineering and program teams that educate and mentor colleagues to deliver leading Electronic Warfare capabilities. In this role, the successful candidate will perform Hardware Configuration Management (HCM) tasks including the fundamentals of Configuration Management: identification, change management, status accounting, audit and verification. This individual must possess a strong understanding and a willingness to train others on HCM tools and have comprehensive knowledge of company hardware configuration management processes and standards. They will stay current with industry standards and technology.
With minimal direction, the successful candidate will be responsible for executing all HCM activities per the Configuration Data Management Plan and BAE Systems policies and procedures. The HCM will provide assistance in development and maintenance of designated baselines and BOMs. Manage Change Orders as they advance through the workflow ensuring accuracy, process compliance, all while monitoring time in the life cycle. Ensures descriptive CCB Agendas and WIP reports are distributed to the project in a timely fashion and takes action when anomalies are discovered. Leads the HCM activities in supporting Internal Design Reviews, Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, and Functional and Physical Configuration Audits. Represents HCM in meetings with the customer to explain our processes and procedures.
The successful candidate will possess subject matter expertise in tools, including PLM and AutoCIVR, and will be a trainer to the user community. Additionally, this individual will be required to support the applications administration team, specifically PLM, AutoCIVR and Paperless. This individual will support issue identification, recording, statusing, testing fixes and provide training on enhancements. This individual will have tickets assigned directly to themselves to independently resolve or escalate to the next level. Additionally, maintain application user manuals and documentation, including Knowable sites.
This individual will participate in initiatives impacting not just HCM but all of engineering, for example PLM integrations and upgrades. Representing the HCM community in a professional manner, relying on extensive experience to share how tool or process changes can impact the entire user community to upper levels of management. At times create and present material to inform upper levels of management on challenges or opportunities for the user community related to hardware baseline management.
