About the Role:

Join Gusto as a GTM Recruiter and play a pivotal role in shaping our team and culture. You'll lead full-cycle recruiting across Marketing and GTM/Sales functions, partnering closely with senior leaders to build scalable hiring strategies and attract top talent. With a focus on creativity, inclusivity, and data-driven decision-making, you’ll help drive our mission to create a world where work empowers a better life—all while working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

About the Team:

At Gusto, the People team is the foundation of everything we do. We believe that attracting, hiring, developing, and retaining talent is core to our success. As a GTM Recruiter, you’ll flex to own a range of searches including (but not limited to): HR/People, Accounting/Finance, Legal/Compliance and Executive Operations. You will be a true business partner to our hiring managers, heavily impact Gusto’s hiring strategy, and hire world-class talent.

Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:

  • Own and drive full-cycle recruiting for Gusto’s Marketing org—spanning Brand, Growth, PMM, Content, and Creative roles—while identifying scalable approaches for hiring across multiple functions
  • Frame complex role requirements and build structured hiring strategies aligned to the business
  • Apply first-principles thinking to creatively solve hiring challenges and unlock top talent
  • Balance a dynamic requisition load of 15–20 roles at a time, across 3–5 distinct functions—adjusting strategies based on shifting business priorities
  • Flex into high-volume GTM hiring (e.g. Sales roles) during slower Marketing cycles to ensure consistent team support and business impact
  • Partner directly with senior stakeholders in Marketing and Revenue to align hiring plans to team goals, navigating ambiguity with clarity and influencing without authority
  • Craft tailored sourcing strategies that prioritize creativity, resourcefulness, and inclusion—leveraging tools, networks, and insights to build robust pipelines
  • Deliver a standout candidate experience through thoughtful communication, expectation-setting, and trust-building—acting as a reliable guide for candidates throughout their journey
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Comp, HRBPs, and Executive Ops to ensure alignment, smooth processes, and role clarity
  • Lead with data by tracking key recruiting metrics, identifying trends, surfacing blockers, and proactively adjusting course to meet hiring outcomes

Here’s what we're looking for:

  • 5–8 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with a strong track record in both Marketing (3–5 years) and GTM/Sales (2–3 years)
  • Proven success supporting high-volume Sales orgs and managing 15–20+ roles across multiple disciplines with minimal oversight
  • Deep experience partnering with senior-level executives and hiring managers, offering strategic guidance and influencing decision-making throughout the recruiting process
  • Skilled at sourcing and closing talent across entry to mid-level roles—bringing a consultative and creative approach to engaging candidates
  • Fluency in Greenhouse is required; experience with Workday is a strong plus
  • Demonstrated ability to build representative, inclusive candidate pipelines and coach hiring managers on equitable hiring practices
  • Strong candidate assessment skills—you know how to surface core strengths, match candidates to the right opportunity, and elevate the bar for talent across the business
  • Operates with urgency, resilience, and adaptability in a fast-changing, high-growth environment
  • Brings a first-principles mindset to challenges and constantly seeks ways to work smarter, not just harder
  • Communicates clearly and with purpose—whether influencing a hiring panel, delivering feedback, or crafting a narrative from recruiting data

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
