In this role, you will:
- Drive a holistic strategy and product delivery for Global Receivables & Trade (GRT) Commercial Banking coverage to Mid Corporate and Middle Market Banking; inclusive of traditional trade along with new Supplier Finance and Key Account Purchasing (KAP) transactions.
- Develop product education and sales management strategies to continually develop teams to anticipate and understand clients' businesses, strategic objectives, operational priorities, and financial positions
- Lead team by making strategic decisions to resolve highly complex issues to meet higher risk deliverables; interpret and develop range of policies and procedures for functions with moderate to higher complexity and risk
- Organize sales activities for multiple products or specialties and develop marketing strategies in partnership with coverage team leadership, ensuring proactive selling and presentation of tailored financial solutions to clients and profitable growth of the specialty products
- Provide subject matter expertise to peers and leaders, as well as work on complex, strategic, and multi-product specialty transactions, including by providing oversight of opportunity analysis, structuring, and internal coordination of financing requests
- Collaborate with and influence all levels of professionals, including senior leadership
- Partner with product management functional partners to provide vision, leadership, and industry expertise on evolving market needs that enable large-scale companywide strategies that significantly influence the organization's business and financial operations
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure financial and business goals are met and align with strategic objectives for multiple products or specialties
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
- Provide vision and set direction for influential projects to achieve long-term strategic objectives that impact organization and management across functions
- Collaborate with others to develop highly complex, multi-year initiatives
- Provide thought leadership to develop and implement strategic solutions for highly complex and potentially companywide projects
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
- Partner with portfolio and/or IRM to help solve complex deal issues to drive business growth
- Lead with a risk mindset including overseeing complex regulatory initiatives and reporting
- 8+ years of secured or specialized lending sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of management or leadership experience
- Successful business leader, experienced in leading large-scale cross-functional teams, with proven record of delivering change with high impact results
- Strong collaborative leadership style and ability to increase effectiveness and performance by assigning accountabilities, planning, monitoring, and appraising results
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing on a strategic vision, corresponding business goals, and leading a complex business to achieve financial goals
- Ability to set expectations, communicate and ensure team member alignment with overall business strategies and operational alignment with Wells Fargo risk appetite
- Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to communicate clearly and concisely to an audience that includes clients/prospects, staff, and senior management
- Proven expertise in the leadership of originating, structuring, negotiating and closing commercial lending transactions, asset based or otherwise
- Strong credit acumen honed through extensive transaction expertise, formal credit training, underwriting experience or otherwise
