✨Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Group Supervisor at Mt. Evans Qualifying House in Idaho Springs, CO ✨
The Colorado Qualifying House (Q House) is a transitional housing & positive skill development program located on over 70 acres of land at the bottom of Mt. Blue Sky. The Q House program subscribes to the four principles of effective intervention: risk assessment, addressing needs, providing individualized treatment, and ensuring fidelity. What you will do:
The Group Supervisor facilitates collaboration among staff and youth to ensure all expectations of the program and its services are met. They will assess the day’s needs and work with the team to identify leads for each task, and ensure completion according to the specifications required by licensing and shown to have the greatest success in implementation. This includes the morning cadence (wake up, chores, physical education), participating in work, school, or community service, and the evening cadence (dinner, positive skill development groups, and leisure time before bed). We strongly believe in the importance of Continuous Quality Improvement, and are looking for an active partner eager to help the site find the best methods and approaches for exceeding our goals – as staff, youth, and the program as a whole.
This Group Supervisor will work on A Shift (Sunday – Wednesday afternoon) and have a Coach Counselor and Night Coach Counselor as direct reports. All on-site staff (including the Teacher, Program Manager, and other support staff throughout the day) are charged with the safety, care, and around-the-clock supervision of students in the program. Most of the time the Group Supervisor will be at the Qualifying House in Idaho Springs, with consistent community outings in Clear Creek County and the greater Denver Metro area (volunteering with the local Elks Lodge, going to museums, hikes & ski trips, etc). This role will work with the team to make sure regardless of location or programming (at the house, working in community, going on field trips) there is active supervision and support provided to the youth according to licensing requirements and in line with student needs.
