As the Group Product Manager, you’ll lead a growing team of exceptional Product Managers that build solutions for employers, employees, brokers, and partners. You’ll partner closely with engineering, design, GTM, and operations, and will work directly with the head of product to shape a platform that is reinventing how healthcare can be offered.
We believe great products start with care: care for the user, care for the craft, and care for the systems we're building. You'll bring taste, product intuition, and high standards to everything you touch — while helping the entire team do the same. This role is highly cross-functional and strategic, and we’re looking for someone who thrives in ambiguity, translates complexity into clarity, and pushes the work — and everyone around them — to be better.
- Manage and grow a high-performing team of PMs across multiple product surfaces while coaching them to be deeply user-driven, execution-oriented, and strategic in their approach to product development.
- Drive clarity on product goals, priorities, and tradeoffs across a fast-moving roadmap, ensuring alignment and focus across all team members and stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, engineering, ops, and GTM teams to ship work that is cohesive, high quality, and deeply aligned with our strategic goals and user needs.
- Guide discovery and execution across multiple surfaces, from employer and broker dashboards to member experiences and partner APIs, ensuring comprehensive product coverage.
- Lead key initiatives personally — particularly complex or strategic bets — as needed to unblock the team, push critical work forward, and model excellence in product leadership.
- 6+ years of product management experience, including 2+ years managing PMs.
- Proven experience at a high-growth startup defining vision, leading cross-functional work across engineering, design, ops, and GTM.
- Strong product judgment, taste, and clarity of thought. You bring others along by simplifying complexity.
- Experience owning business outcomes and measuring work by impact, not activity.
- A deep sense of care — for your team, for users, for the systems you help build.
- Experience in regulated industries like healthcare or fintech, where clarity, trust, and precision matter.
- A background building platforms or ecosystems (e.g. APIs, marketplaces, integrations).
- Strong design sensibilities and belief that small details create trust.
We interview rigorously based on integrity, talent, and drive; the trust we display in our teammates from day 1 is a reflection of the confidence we have in this process. We aim to evaluate the things you’ll be doing every day as best we can, and we move quickly. Here's what to expect:
- 30 minute phone screen to talk through your background and interest in Thatch
- 30 minute Zoom meeting with the hiring manager to dive deeper into your experience and the role
- 30 minute Zoom meeting to meet 2-3 members of the team
- 30 minute Zoom meeting with our founders to discuss your approach to culture and our operating principles
We’re a fully distributed early stage company using technology to change the way America does healthcare. We’re a happy, friendly, high-velocity team. You can read more on Thatch here.
