In this role, you'll create visuals for the news channel's daily needs such as icons, headshots, full-screen photos, and maps. When designing visuals for advertisements and marketing, keeping the brand's consistency in mind. The Graphic Designer will also work with several clients on projects including promotions, live remotes, live studios, programming, and marketing and sales campaigns. You'll be part of a collaborative team that creates compelling, timely, and accurate content to connect with viewers across traditional and digital platforms.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM NEWS
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Designing for television, print and web applications 3+ years
- Education: Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field or comparable work experience
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and Premiere Pro, Cinema 4D and Adobe Creative Suite and Chyron
- Skills: Understanding of current graphic design best practices, attention to detail, strategic, creative thinking, and ability to brainstorm
- Abilities: Ability to clearly communicate solutions; and able to relate well with diverse populations and age groups
- Travel: Works inside and outside throughout the year and occasional travel required to production sites
- Schedule: Ability to work different shifts or longer shifts due to "breaking news" and severe weather emergencies. Willing and able to work weekends and holidays and in severe weather emergencies, such as hurricanes
