Position Summary
The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating visually engaging, professional, and effective designs for digital and print media. This position works closely with marketing, communications, sales, product, and other teams to develop creative materials that communicate the organization's brand, products, services, and messaging.
The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, organized, and able to translate ideas and concepts into compelling visual designs while maintaining brand consistency and meeting project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Create original graphics and visual content for digital and print applications.
- Develop marketing materials including brochures, flyers, posters, advertisements, presentations, newsletters, and promotional materials.
- Design graphics for websites, social media platforms, email campaigns, blogs, and digital advertisements.
- Create logos, icons, illustrations, infographics, and other visual assets.
- Develop and maintain consistent brand identity across all marketing and communication materials.
- Collaborate with marketing, communications, sales, product, and management teams to understand design requirements.
- Translate creative concepts, written content, and business objectives into effective visual designs.
- Review design briefs and project requirements and develop concepts accordingly.
- Present design concepts and incorporate feedback from internal teams and clients.
- Make revisions and refinements while maintaining design quality and project timelines.
- Prepare final artwork for print and digital production.
- Ensure designs meet appropriate dimensions, resolutions, file formats, and technical specifications.
- Maintain organized libraries of design files, images, templates, fonts, and brand assets.
- Select appropriate colors, typography, imagery, layouts, and visual elements.
- Edit and enhance photographs and other visual materials.
- Create templates and reusable design assets to improve workflow efficiency.
- Stay current with design trends, technologies, and industry best practices.
- Ensure all creative materials comply with brand guidelines and accessibility standards where applicable.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work based on deadlines and business needs.
- Coordinate with printers, vendors, photographers, developers, and other external partners when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of completed design projects and source files.
- Assist with special projects and other creative assignments as needed.
Digital Design Responsibilities
- Design graphics for websites and mobile applications.
- Create social media graphics and advertising content.
- Develop email marketing graphics and newsletter layouts.
- Create digital advertisements and promotional banners.
- Design presentations and digital reports.
- Prepare graphics optimized for different devices and platforms.
- Collaborate with web developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately.
Print Design Responsibilities
- Design brochures, catalogs, flyers, business cards, posters, banners, signage, and promotional materials.
- Prepare print-ready files according to vendor specifications.
- Select appropriate colors, paper sizes, layouts, and typography.
- Review proofs and make corrections before production.
- Communicate with printing and production vendors as needed.
Branding Responsibilities
- Support the development and maintenance of company brand identity.
- Follow established brand guidelines for colors, fonts, imagery, logos, and layouts.
- Create branded templates and marketing materials.
- Ensure visual consistency across digital and print communications.
- Assist with brand refreshes and new visual identity projects.
- Maintain organized brand asset libraries.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Previous professional graphic design experience or equivalent portfolio experience.
- Strong understanding of design principles, composition, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
- Strong proficiency with professional graphic design software.
- Creative thinking and strong visual communication skills.
