Role Overview

Interns at Boom will have the opportunity to join an exciting aircraft startup focused on world-changing technology. Our interns work on real stuff - like coordinating with the propulsion, marketing, and policy teams to deliver the best possible versions of Overture and Symphony.

Our interns should be compelled to build innovative solutions, create new designs and collaborate with others. We are looking for passionate and talented students with a background in graphic design, industrial design, interaction design, visual arts, or a related creative field - one year from graduation (Bachelor or Masters degree). The ideal candidate will be excited about creative solutions and be passionate about the future of supersonic aircraft design.

Responsibilities

As a Graphic Design Intern at Boom, you’ll dive into a variety of creative projects that amplify our brand and engage our audience. You’ll work closely with our marketing and design teams to craft compelling visuals for our online store, social media campaigns, and broader brand initiatives. This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to the look and feel of a groundbreaking aerospace company while building your portfolio with real-world experience.

Your day-to-day will include designing merchandise and product visuals for our online store, creating eye-catching graphics and layouts for social media, and collaborating with the team to bring fresh ideas to Boom’s visual storytelling. You’ll also support ad-hoc design projects that help communicate our mission and showcase the innovative technology behind supersonic flight.

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for a senior-year college student who brings creativity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn. Ideally, you have:

  • Strong skills in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • A portfolio showcasing your design work—whether from school projects, personal creations, or previous internships
  • An eye for detail and a passion for clean, impactful design
  • Interest in branding, digital media, or aerospace (bonus points if you’re an aviation geek!)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, innovative environment

What Sets You Apart

  • Experience with motion graphics or animation (e.g., After Effects)
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms or designing for online stores
  • A knack for translating complex ideas into simple, bold visuals

At Boom, you’ll be part of a team that’s not just designing for today but shaping the future of travel. This internship is your chance to gain hands-on experience, work on projects that reach a global audience, and collaborate with a team that’s as passionate about design as they are about breaking the sound barrier.

Work Location

Internships require 100% onsite work at Boom's headquarters located at 6803 S Tucson Way, Centennial, CO 80112.

Internship Duration

Internships will run from early June to mid August with flexibility to accommodate for the academic semester.

The Hourly Pay Rate for this position is $22 per hour. Boom will not provide any additional compensation or allowance for housing, transportation or meals.

Deadline

All applications must be submitted by Tuesday, April 15th, 2025.
