The Production Runner handles tasks related to staging, transporting, and packaging materials, ensures compliance with safety procedures, and assists in maintaining inventory accuracy and a clean environment.
Job Description
PURPOSE:
Worker performs tasks that include staging pallets/materials for packaging and processing, shrink wrapping finished product, transporting finished product to outbound provider. Moves product to and from the warehouse complying with procedures. Informs Lead and/or Supervisor of potential or on-going inventory problems, works closely with lead and/or supervisor to ensure production requirements are met. Runner will also check locations in their designated area to ensure product safety and maintain a clean environment where the materials are stored. Assists, as needed, in implementing new procedures and processes for continuous improvement throughout the plant. Maintains housekeeping in the Department in assigned area and in areas as assigned.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Checks expiration dates and lot codes on product ensure the compliance /accuracy.
Properly wraps pallets for transport. Moves finished product to and from the palletizer/finished goods area to the outbound warehouse
Maintain good integrity of the products by replacing broken pallets, rewrap pallets, and remove debris on the top of the products and other production / warehouse tags.
Check warehouse for safety hazards; clear and/or report hazards to supervisor.
Performs daily material handling equipment inspections.
Maintains warehouse in an audit ready condition.
Train coworkers as needed and lead as an example
Able to work with minimal supervision and has team player attitude.
Participate on the 5S process, as needed, and carry out actions as outlined on the department 5S Improvement Plan.
Embrace and support Continuous Improvement.
Protects all company equipment's from unsafe use
Maintains inventory accuracy. Sort, stack, and inspect pallets for pallet inventory control.
Follows battery change out procedures.
Operates equipment in a safe manner following GMP guidelines and keeps work area clean.
Actively participates in company and dept. meetings
Fill in for other positions as necessary.
Other duties as assigned by lead or supervisor.
