Meet the team:
The Global Supply Chain team drives centralized planning, sourcing, delivery and build for all components, parts, modules, CAPEX, services, software, and tools for prototype, engineering builds, and production. We work closely with vehicle hardware, vehicle software, autonomy, robot infrastructure, product teams and a diverse set of suppliers and partners to design, development, manufacture and deploy Glydcars and Glydways systems.
Roles & Responsibilities:
● Collaborate with engineering and product team to gather requirement and needs, develop, and implement sourcing strategy.
● Develop suppliers, prepare and conduct RFIs, RFPs and RFQs and ensure timely response from suppliers.
● Review quote and proposal from suppliers, negotiate price, terms and contracts, work with cross functional teams to evaluate and select best fit suppliers.
● Prepare purchase orders, maintain, and track order status, items purchased, costs, deliveries, invoice, payment, quality and product performance.
● Drive cost reduction initiatives, commercial negotiations, and total cost of ownership optimization
● Facilitate BOM management and inventory management, coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure on time delivery.
● Develop collaborative relationships with suppliers; monitor performance and resolve issues.
● Coordinate and report out on specific supply chain issues as necessary.
● Manage disruptions to ensure the business continuity in real time.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
● Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in engineering, supply chain management. MBA is a plus
● 7+ years experiences in supply chain or engineering
● Experiences in sourcing PCBs and Electronics are strongly preferred.
● Strong negotiation skills and good business judgement
● Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
● Strong quantitative and analytical skills. Attention to details.
● Strong written and oral communication skills.
● Ability to make quick decisions and solve complex problems with 80% information.
● Position requires travel within the US or internationally up to 15% of the time.
