We’re now looking for a Global Sourcing Manager – Metals to join our Global Sourcing team. In this strategic role, you will take ownership of our global metals sourcing strategy—ensuring a cost-effective, high-quality and resilient supply base for our iconic brands. You’ll play a key role in shaping how we manage critical materials, including the development of innovative commodity management tools. This is an exciting opportunity to impact a global business while working with diverse teams across markets and functions.
This position can be based in any of the locations Helsinki, Finland/ Eschborn, Germany/ Stockholm, Sweden/ Warsaw, Poland/ Middleton, USA and reports to Senior Sourcing Manager – Raw Materials. The role is full-time and follows a hybrid working model.
WHAT YOU’LL DO AT FISKARS
As Global Sourcing Manager – Metals, you will play a critical role in ensuring our sourcing strategy supports both operational needs and long-term business goals. You’ll lead sourcing initiatives, manage key suppliers, and drive cost and risk management across the metals category.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a comprehensive global sourcing strategy for metals used in both own production and external manufacturing.
Lead and develop the sourcing team for metals globally.
Identify, evaluate and manage key metal suppliers to ensure reliability, quality, and cost competitiveness.
Drive strategic supplier negotiations and contracts to secure optimal terms.
Leverage commodity trading tools (e.g., market trend analysis, hedging, forward contract buying) to stabilize and reduce input costs.
Monitor metal market trends and conduct in-depth cost analyses to identify opportunities for value creation.
Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders like Finance, Treasury, and Production to ensure alignment and risk mitigation across the supply chain.
WHO YOU ARE
You’re a forward-thinking sourcing professional who thrives in a dynamic, global environment. You bring strategic insight, commercial acumen, and deep commodity expertise to the table—along with the ability to turn sourcing into a competitive advantage.
Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
5+ years’ experience in commodity management, sourcing, or supply chain—experience with tradeable commodities (e.g., grains, metals, oil & gas, etc.) is strongly preferred.
Proven track record in leading sourcing strategy and supplier negotiations at a global level.
Strong understanding of commodity markets and the application of tools to manage price stability and risk.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in English (written and spoken); additional languages a plus.
Experience working in a global matrixed organization with cultural awareness and cross-functional collaboration skills.
