SUMMARY

The Global Privacy Manager will be the primary advisor for and liaison to Covetrus’ global businesses and operations regarding data privacy.  They will be responsible for the company’s global privacy program, including but not limited to: daily operations of the program; development, implementation, and maintenance of relevant policies and procedures; monitoring program compliance; investigating and tracking incidents and breaches; and ensuring customer’s rights, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

This position will work closely and collaboratively with commercial management and functional leaders throughout Covetrus’ global operations when performing their duties.

ESSENTIAL DUITES AND RESPONSIBILITIES and other duties as required.

  • Implement a comprehensive global privacy program with measurable impact in conjunction with the members of the Privacy Office.
  • Draft, update, and maintain data privacy policies, procedures, guidance, and playbooks that align with global requirements.
  • Regularly assess privacy risks across businesses, operations, and regions (ie Globally) through transfer and privacy risk assessments (PIA, DPIA); conduct audits, investigations, and compliance monitoring.
  • Partner with cybersecurity, technology, and program management teams to embed privacy into systems, operations, and product development, globally or regionally, as appropriate.
  • Develop and deliver engaging global training programs and communications to build a culture of privacy across the enterprise.
  • Support due diligence and integration in global and regional corporate development activities from a privacy perspective.
  • Ethically evaluate and, where appropriate, incorporate emerging technologies (e.g., AI tools) into global privacy program management.
  • Create and maintain a global data map in compliance with ROPA and US state reporting regulations.
  • Support any other regional or global program needs as may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor degree required, preferably in a technology focused or program management focused major. Preferred: Admission to practice law in relevant jurisdiction and good standing.
  • Minimum 9+ years of privacy program experience with significant focus on privacy/data protection, preferably in highly regulated industries (animal health, life sciences, healthcare, or technology).
  • Demonstrated success in building, leading, or scaling privacy programs.
  • Strong track record of cross-functional collaboration with technology, compliance, and business stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications (CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, CIPT, or equivalent) preferred.
  • International experience strongly preferred.

Competencies (Skills & Abilities)

  • Deep knowledge of global privacy regulations as needed for program build/management (GDPR, UK Data Protection Act, LGPD, U.S. state).
  • Strong business acumen with ability to align legal strategies to business objectives.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable guidance.
  • Creative problem-solver with a programmatic mindset; able to design processes that scale.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Enthusiasm for leveraging technology and data to improve privacy operations.
  • High degree of ethics, integrity, and professionalism.

Salary may vary depending on factors such as confirmed job-related skills, experience, and location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.

However, the pay range for this position is as follows. Sales Positions are eligible for a Variable Incentive

$107,500.00-$153,500.00
