A day in the life
Prologis is seeking an ambitious and passionate Billing Associate to support the Energy Solutions team’s expansion into new products and markets with a strong focus in customer service. We are looking for a self-starter who is versatile, can thrive in a fast-paced environment by thinking critically and adapting quickly. This position will give the right candidate the opportunity to gain exposure to clean energy product types internationally across a variety of regulatory and tax environments, interfacing with multiple departments.

Key responsibilities include:
Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual bills for the Energy Solutions business; ensure accuracy of bills.
Monitor billing to ensure customers are billed in a timely manner and within established deadlines.
Working closely with Local Market teams, Accounting, IT, and other departments to create new processes and controls, develop billing procedures for new product types and new markets.
Collaborate with Accounting and FP&A to integrate financial performance across all energy product lines.
Build and maintain strong relationships across the global energy solutions and real estate teams. Enhance transparency and consistency to promote alignment regionally and globally.
Document procedures and automate manual processes to position the team for operations at scale. Manage and maintain the accuracy of data and systems. Coordinate with IT and other teams as needed to build and improve all reporting and systems, including QA and UAT testing.
Regular research into common practices in energy billing, US tariffs, and international energy requirements.
Develop customer communication for new products to support a better customer experience after launch.
Identify and lead opportunities to improve process flows across billing and product types.
Building blocks for success
Required:
4+ years of related energy billing experience.
Solid understanding of financial performance metrics for energy projects to collaborate cross-functionally with Finance and Accounting teams.
Excellent written and oral communications, including strong presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage various work streams, stand up new processes, integrate work across relevant areas, and develop and execute operating plans across Sustainability, Mobility, Energy, Accounting, Finance, Legal, Marketing, and other teams.
Experience with PeopleSoft, Sigma, Salesforce and/or other business platforms.
Intermediate to advanced Excel.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
Knowledge of utility tariffs & programs, power purchase agreements, renewables development.
Knowledge of energy and billing regulations in global markets, including the US, EU, Mexico, and Brazil.
Experience with process management and process improvement (Kaizen/Lean Six Sigma).
Hiring Salary Range of: $105,000 - $145,000. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target) to be determined by the candidate’s location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
