Company Vehicle: Upon successful completion of a motor vehicle report review, you will be eligible to participate in a company vehicle evaluation program, through which you will be assigned a General Motors vehicle to drive and evaluate. Note: program participants are required to purchase/lease a qualifying GM vehicle every four years unless one of a limited number of exceptions applies.

What You'll Do
- Establish vision, strategy and priorities for GM climate actions, including programmatic climate work needed to achieve our zero emissions future.
- Lead corporate decarbonization and climate team responsible for scopes 1, 2, and 3 emissions, as well as product carbon footprint strategy and deliverables.
- Establish and lead cross-functional decarbonization & climate working group, consisting of leaders across GM, to drive shared goals, insights and accountability to achieve our climate targets. • Serve as DRI (directly responsible individual) for public climate goals and internal goals & KPIs, including providing updates on progress, supporting messaging, and influencing/leading strategic discussion and decisions on climate-related topics.
- Lead ideation, influence and action on opportunities to further incorporate decarbonization techniques, and climate-related opportunities, in GM products and overall customer experience.
- Serve as spokesperson for GM on decarbonization and climate topics - both internally for employee and executive awareness and decision-making, as well as externally at events, such as Climate Week NYC and COP, and with key stakeholders, such as policymakers, NGOs, and investors.
- Maintain strong expertise on climate strategy, decarbonization techniques, and competitive leadership related to climate & decarbonization in the automotive industry and beyond.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Business, Sustainability, Science, or other related field
- Minimum 10 years of climate expertise, with public recognition as climate leader and demonstrated ability to lead global climate projects and programs.
- Strong ability to influence and drive accountability across an enterprise.
- Action-oriented mindset toward action, innovation and leadership in climate action, with ability to navigate strong headwinds with resilience and maintain optimism for direct team, enterprise and beyond.
- Authentic commitment to the EV transition, a zero emissions future for GM, and a more sustainable world.
