GIS Analyst III
The Role
Position Description (PD)
The GIS Analyst III serves as the senior technical lead and working program lead for GIS Modernization. This individual acts as the primary day-to-day interface between contractor staff and the Government COR and is responsible for coordinating task execution, tracking progress, and ensuring GIS deliverables align with DRIS priorities and standards.
The GIS Analyst III leads and supports modernization efforts focused on parcel fabric workflows, TAAMS/LAC migration, mapping backlog reduction, and development of GIS dashboards and reporting tools. Performs advanced geospatial analysis, oversees data quality and metadata compliance, and ensures consistency of GIS products delivered in support of trust land, right-of-way, leasing, and fee-to-trust activities.
- Coordinates work across the GIS Analyst II team
- Reviews and approves GIS outputs for quality and accuracy; developing mapping templates and standardized workflows
- Supports dashboard and application development for leadership reporting;
- Documents procedures and SOPs
- Prepares required progress reports, briefings, and deliverables.
- The GIS Analyst III operates as a hands-on contributor while providing technical oversight and task-level leadership.
