Our Auto Auctions, some up to 200 acres, provide a wide array of vehicle services including repair & reconditioning, auction remarketing, and many of our sites serve as market hub distribution centers. Role and Team

  • As an ADESA General Sales Manager, you will be a true sales hunter to drive our business forward and spark passion in your team to do the same.  You will lead by example, generate new business, close deals, and develop a high-performing sales team to exceed expectations. You will execute the overall sales strategy and inspire the team to achieve success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example: manage and develop the sales team
  • Generate new business leads and close deals
  • Effectively execute and lead ADESA’s Dealer Sales strategy
  • Influence and lead others as a people, customer, and business manager
  • Engage with customers and employees in a transparent, reliable, and positive manner
  • Demonstrate knowledge of products and services
  • Maximize technology

About you

You are a true sales hunter, passionate about growth and demonstrate our core values daily. You communicate effectively and are great at nurturing and maintaining relationships. You are always connecting with others within the industry, and are highly knowledgeable about your team, your customers, and the local market. You possess a strong understanding of sales process, metrics, and how to ultimately close the deal.

You will experience success if you possess these attributes

  • Excellent leadership skills and strong communication skills
  • Sales-focused, with an organized and systematic approach
  • Detail oriented, accurate, and consistent; Positive, motivating, and encouraging
  • High School or GED required; College education preferred
  • Two or more years of supervisory experience; automotive industry experience preferred
  • Successful previous experience as a sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possesses a valid driver’s license

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of people management experience
  • 7+ years of customer service experience
  • 5+ years of sales
  • Automotive/auction experience preferred
  • CRM experience preferred
  • College degree preferred.
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Must have the ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.

Physical Working Conditions
