Ibotta is seeking a Full Stack Web Developer to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. This role on our Marketing Operations team focuses on maintaining and enhancing our consumer-facing and B2B websites. Key responsibilities include developing efficient, scalable, and user-friendly web applications within our headless CMS system. The position also involves supporting customized email development and in-app projects that align with our marketing strategies.
This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Candidates must live in the United States.
What you will be doing:

Collaborate & execute strategic web projects using a React/Next.js framework in a Contentful-based headless CMS environment

Develop and implement UI components following well-known React workflows (e.g., Flux or Redux), ensuring robustness and ease of management

Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code with a focus on user experience (UX)

Develop email and in-app communications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
-
Provide proactive recommendations on performance improvements, testing ideas, and best practice implementation

Optimize components for maximum performance across various web-capable devices and browsers
-
Set up performance testing and data tracking tags while cross-training peers/team members
-
Utilize web analytics to measure performance and inform improvements

Participate in code review and help guide web architecture decisions

Anticipate and address issues in development projects, offering innovative solutions and communicating proactively with stakeholders.

Adhere to clean, maintainable code best practices and security standards

Manage information architecture and site maps

Build and maintain universal links, URL structuring, and routing to support UX and technical SEO strategies

Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and resolve issues

Assist in technical troubleshooting and support

Collaborate with other developers and cross-functional partners on projects as needed

Support in research and implementation of new technology and tools

What we are looking for:

2+ years as a Full Stack Web Developer or in a similar role, including experience with headless CMS and Next.js.

Proficient in front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, React.js, Next.js) and familiar with web SDKs and RESTful APIs.

Experienced in using Git and GitHub for version control.

1+ year using G Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides) or similar tools.

Strong attention to detail

Quick learner with a proactive approach to acquiring new skills

Effective communicator, both written and verbal

Skilled in managing multiple projects simultaneously

Self-directed and motivated team player
