CareerMD is seeking an ownership-minded Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. You’ll be engineer #2 on a profitable, fast-growing platform trusted and used by physicians everywhere. You’ll ship new features, modernize legacy services, and shape our engineering culture.

The team is responsible for the development, monitoring, maintenance, and evolution of CareerMD’s media software platform for physicians and healthcare organizations.

As a Full Stack Engineer you will be responsible for defining problems, reviewing requirements, creating software designs, and implementing solutions. This role will report to the Lead Engineer.

Responsibilities:

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft .NET ecosystem, including experience with C#, .NET, Web API, and related tools such as Entity Framework and Visual Studio
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and fellow developers to solve problems and deliver software for the CareerMD platform
  • Develop new products from scratch and revamp/redesign/improve existing products, working in both front-end interfaces and back-end infrastructure
  • Proactively suggest improvements to the user experience (UI/UX) as well as improvements to code structure, architecture, development practices, and product features
  • Design and develop RESTful APIs and backend services to support web applications.
  • Plan, build, and execute tests for all systems to deliver high quality software
  • Write and maintain technical documentation
  • Participate in code reviews and mentor more junior developers
  • Proficient with React (TypeScript) & Next.js, including component architecture and state management.
  • Capable of designing and implementing complex software systems, including 3rd-party integrations
  • Able to write SQL queries from scratch and familiar with best practices for database efficiency (indexes, denormalization, etc)
  • Experienced with modern development workflows including Git, GitHub, pull requests, branching strategies, and collaborative code reviews.
  • Works well in an agile development environment
  • User-centric and team-oriented
  • Driven continuous learner

Education & Years of Experience:

  • 3+ years of professional web development experience
  • 3+ years API development experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience

Preferred:

  • Physician recruitment or healthcare industry experience
  • Experience with AWS and container architecture (e.g. Kubernetes)

We believe in fair compensation for all of our people, which is why our pay structure takes into account the cost of labor across U.S. geographic markets. For this position, we offer a pay range of $114,300 -- $220,700 annually, with pay varying depending on work location and job-related factors such as knowledge, position level and experience. During the hiring process, your recruiter can provide more information about the specific salary range for the job location. 

CHG Healthcare offers starting salaries for sales positions in the form of total target compensation (TTC = base + commission + bonus), which includes base pay, commission, and bonuses. Sales positions receive short-term incentives through commission plans and bonuses. On the other hand, non-sales positions have starting salaries that consist of a base salary and short-term incentives through various bonus plans, which are paid out monthly, quarterly, or annually.
