Senior Full Stack Engineer - AI Squad

The Role

We're looking for a product-minded Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our AI Squad. In this role, you'll help define and ship end-to-end features that leverage our AI/ML capabilities to add value to our customers. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer in our AI Squad, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing features across our entire stack that enhance our CRM platform for distributors. You'll work closely with our users, product managers, and ML engineers to create robust, scalable solutions that integrate with our AI-driven features including recommendation systems, personalization, and insight generation. This role will report to an Engineering Manager.

The target salary range for this role is $60,000 - $90,000.  Final offers will be based on your skills and previous experience and your region. Proton collaborates with Oyster HR to hire international employees as full time (long term) contractors within our company. 

This role will be fully remote and based in either Europe or Latin America.  For collaboration purposes, all hires based in Europe or India are expected to be available for meetings from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM EST (Eastern Standard Time). Candidates located in Latin America are expected to work standard EST business hours on a daily basis.

What you'll do

• Design and implement full stack features that integrate with our AI systems
• Develop and maintain backend services in Python that support our AI-powered functionality
• Adapt responsive and intuitive UI interfaces that showcase our AI capabilities
• Work with databases and design efficient data storage patterns for AI-related features
• Collaborate with ML engineers to integrate AI features into production systems
• Ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability of the features you build
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices

You'll be a great fit for this role if you have:

• Strong full stack engineering skills: You have at least 5 years of experience as a software engineer with proven ability to work across the entire stack (frontend, backend, databases), with mobile development experience being optional, but a plus. 
• Startup mindset: You're pragmatic, nimble, and have a good record of shipping features, iterating fast, and working closely with users and PMs
• Strong software engineering skills: You have a proven track record of writing and deploying quality code at a senior level
• Problem-solving skills: You enjoy tackling difficult problems and can understand and take action on complex ideas quickly
• Independence: You take ownership of your work and thrive when given creative freedom. You like to experiment with new concepts and learn from mistakes

Other skills that we value:
