At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next.

The Revenue & Growth Tools (RGT) team is part of the GCP (Growth Commerce Platform) org—the backbone for all revenue collection at Netflix. We create solutions that enable teams to debug operational issues and deploy configuration changes safely. We're also expanding the use of AI within our org through Slack bots, documentation tools, and debugging assistants.

Our team embodies Netflix values—we hold ourselves and each other accountable, create an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are valued, and approach challenges with curiosity and selflessness. If you're passionate about building delightful tools that enhance developer productivity, we'd love for you to apply.

This role is open for remote or hybrid engineers. Hybrid team members are based in Los Gatos, California, spending three days a week on average at Netflix's HQ.

What will you do in this role?

You'll identify and solve complex problems that positively impact how engineers across GCP work daily. You'll deliver team-level architecture and lead projects that extend beyond RGT to adjacent teams.

Using React and other frontend technologies, you'll create modular experiences that minimize boilerplate and allow engineers to spin up applications quickly. Your work will enable faster debugging, better documentation, and safer changes to production systems across Netflix Commerce.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop new features for the tools platform, owning decisions on architecture, usability, and performance.

  • Leverage deep expertise in frontend and backend systems to extend capabilities, improve efficiency, and perform strategic migrations.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to drive sustainable, well-architected solutions.

  • Mentor and grow engineers on the team, sharing knowledge and raising the bar for excellence.

  • Influence technical strategy and roadmaps across GCP and adjacent teams.

What Sets You Apart?
  • Exceptional proficiency in the fundamentals of TypeScript, JavaScript, and React for web development.

  • Knowledge of GraphQL and RESTful APIs for backend connectivity.

  • Endlessly curious with a keen interest in developer productivity and a proactive approach to learning and innovation.

  • Strong problem-solving skills nand a passion for delivering high-quality products.

  • Able to communicate complex technical issues and their business impact to stakeholders clearly.

  • Seeks different perspectives and relevant information to consider tradeoffs and avoid over-engineering.

  • Demonstrates good judgment by being unusually responsible and transparent even when it's difficult.

  • Bonus: experience with design tools like Figma or Photoshop.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
