Job Summary:

The FSP Program Lead is a cross-functional leadership role within Parexel's FSP organization, distinguished from other FSP Operations management positions by its broader scope and responsibilities across our FSP programs.  

In addition to the responsibilities in the Parexel leadership job descriptions, the Program Leader is also responsible for:   

Ensuring high-quality, cost-effective services, driving business growth, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Through leadership, collaboration, and resource optimization, the Program Lead promotes operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and overall success.

Key Accountabilities:

Financial & Margin Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the financial aspects of the FSP program, including budget planning, resource allocation, cost management, and financial reporting. This involves ensuring profitability (revenue, hiring, and margin targets), monitoring customer contracts, and identifying opportunities for cost savings or revenue generation

  • Uniquely tasked with advising and providing strategic direction to the FSP management team (i.e. functional lead(s), regional lead(s), and line managers) on overall margin improvement opportunities at the program level.

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the development and management of a workforce infrastructure that supports FSP Programs

  • Leading strategic initiatives to establish FSP as a core service offering across multiple functional areas

  • Developing comprehensive FSP solutions that address the unique needs of FSP clients

  • Creating strategic frameworks for FSP service delivery that can be scaled across different functional areas

  • Establishing standardized approaches to FSP service delivery while maintaining flexibility for program-specific requirements

 

Delivery Oversight & Performance Monitoring

  • Implementing cross-functional area quality standards for FSP service delivery

  • Developing metrics to evaluate FSP performance across different functional areas and program

  • Creating standardized reporting mechanisms to track FSP performance across FSP program(s)

  • Establishing knowledge sharing practices between FSP teams working in different FSP programs

  • Identifying opportunities for process harmonization across FSP Programs while maintaining compliance with industry-specific regulations

Business Development Responsibilities

  • Developing FSP service offerings tailored to the unique needs of FSP clients

  • Creating specialized FSP solutions for emerging functional areas

  • Identifying opportunities to expand FSP services across new functional areas

  • Developing targeted business development strategies for different functional areas

  • Building relationships with key stakeholders for assigned FSP Program

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Minimum 5+ years of FSP Data Management leadership experience in a CRO setting; and a minimum 3 years of previous line management experience

  • Direct experience with FSP Program Leadership in the Data Management function

  • Direct experience with FSP Resourcing Projections, Billing & Financial Tracking - experience with workforce forecasting, billing processes, and financial tracking in an FSP context

  • Comprehensive understanding of FSP operational requirements across multiple therapeutic areas

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements

  • Experience developing and implementing FSP solutions for diverse client types

  • Ability to identify and address the unique challenges of FSP service delivery in different functional contexts

  • Understanding of the distinct operational needs and regulatory frameworks governing clinical trials

  • Experience building and managing cross-functional teams with expertise in multiple therapeutic areas
