About Credo AI

Credo AI is a venture-backed company on a mission to empower organizations to responsibly build, adopt, procure and use AI at scale.  Credo AI has built a pioneering platform for context-driven AI governance, AI risk assessment and compliance (to regulations like the EU AI Act and standards like NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001 etc) to ensure compliant, fair, and auditable development and use of AI. Our goal is to move responsible AI development from an “ethical” choice to an obvious one-by ensuring AI’s benefits are universally accessible while addressing the full spectrum of its risks. We aim to do this both by making it easier for organizations to integrate  responsible AI Governance  practices into their AI development and by collaborating with regulators/policymakers to set up appropriate ecosystem incentives. Founded in 2020, Credo AI has been recognized as a one of the Most Innovative Companies of 2024 by Fast Company, a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum, named to the CBInsights' AI 100 List and World's Most Promising Startups list, and included in Fast Company’s Next Big Thing in Tech and Intelligent Applications Top 40 by Madrona, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft and Pitchbook.

About the Role

We are in search of a Frontend Engineer who is passionate about crafting software that meets enterprise-grade quality standards. The ideal candidate should be an excellent communicator, able to clearly articulate technical challenges and solutions to both technical and non-technical team members. We value individuals who can lead technical projects with confidence and expertise, guiding teams towards achieving our development goals.

While familiarity with TypeScript is beneficial, it is not a strict requirement. More importantly, we're looking for someone who is enthusiastic about diving into new technologies and tackling unfamiliar problems. Your eagerness to learn and adapt will be valued as our technology stack evolves and as new projects arise.

You might be a good fit if:
  • You have a track record (3-5 years) of developing high-quality, maintainable, and robust software, ideally for enterprise-level applications using the following technologies:

    • Languages: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript

    • Frameworks/Libraries: React, Angular, Vue.js, Next.js

    • Styling Tools: SASS, CSS-in-JS, Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap

    • Testing: Jest, Mocha, Cypress, Jasmine

    • Version Control: Git, GitHub, GitLab

    • APIs: REST, GraphQL, Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman

  • Experience with Responsive Web Design, Accessibility, and Design Systems are a plus

  • Experience with Storybook, Docker, CI/CD and Authentication flows are a plus

  • You're known for your clear communication skills, capable of discussing complex technical issues in an understandable way.

  • You have some experience with or interest in learning TypeScript, among other programming languages and frameworks.

  • You're highly motivated to learn new technologies and frameworks, constantly seeking to improve your skills and tackle new challenges.

Expectations:
  • Designing and implementing front-end systems that meet our high standards for scalability, efficiency, and reliability.

  • Communicating effectively with team members across the organization, from fellow engineers to product managers, to ensure clear understanding of project goals and to deliver high quality UI/UX.

  • Exploring new technologies and programming languages and integrating them into our development practices where appropriate.

  • AI fluency or willingness to learn is a requirement.

  • Continuously learning and adapting to new technical challenges, staying ahead of the curve in backend development practices.

Your contribution will be vital in driving the success of our backend systems, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and aligned with our overall business goals.

Compensation

The expected base salary range for this position is $160-180k USD. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Location & Remote Culture

We support individual members to coordinate in-person coworking whenever possible, and organize company-wide offsites multiple times a year. At Credo AI we value diversity, equity, and inclusion as core principles in our work environment, and the development of our product offerings, and we have implemented initiatives to foster and support these values.
