Main Purpose of the Role

Welo Global is looking for an experienced English (en-US) into Dutch (nl-NL) freelance translator and proofreader for an exciting, ongoing project for a leading multinational company. 

This is an on-going freelance and remote position.

*Please note that it is mandatory for the linguist to be physically based in a US‑aligned timezone (including timezones across North America, Central America or South America); candidates willing to work US hours from other regions will not be considered.

Project Details

Location: Remote (US-aligned timezone); The linguist must provide PST coverage
Expected Volume: Daily. Approximately 3 - 4 hours per day 
Employment Type: Freelance/Independent Contract
Task type: Translation, Copy-Editing, Research
Content types: Support, Marketing, Legal, Informational, Product
CAT Tool: Lucid and Phrase 

Requirements

  • Native or near‑native proficiency in Dutch (nl-NL) with excellent command of US English
  • Proven experience editing, translating and proofreading English (en-US) to Dutch (nl-NL) content
  • 5+ years of professional translation AND copy-editing experience 
  • Demonstrated experience translating informational, marketing, legal, product and support content
  • Experience using CAT tools
  • Strong communication skills, proactivity and openness to feedback and revisions
