About The Job

As a Fraud Representative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring identity theft disputes through the credit bureaus are reviewed for legitimacy, and within our designated SLA. Collaborating with various departments, you will ensure that our fraud reviews are thorough and descriptive for audit and reporting purposes. Reporting to the Fraud Operations Manager, you will contribute to the monitoring and investigation of suspicious activities, enhancing and contributing to the overall compliance posture of our organization.

This role is ideal for a proactive professional who excels at investigating claims and disputes for accuracy, identifying potential risks, and helping those who are true victims of ID theft.

What you get to do: 

  • Investigate and research cases of fraud claims from the credit bureaus.  Approving or denying those claims by thoroughly investigating cases to determine validity of claims.
  • Perform independent, investigative reviews, know when to make a decision on a case or when to detect and alert senior team mates or partnering teams related to financial fraud types like Identity Theft, Payment Fraud, Elder Financial Abuse etc.
  • Provide timely and accurate response to ensure customers receive the best service when verification is requested
  • Communicate risk decisions effectively in both verbal and written communication to customers, internal business partners, agent offices and management.
  • Maintain accurate records of investigations, findings, and actions taken, adhering to confidentiality and data protection standards.
  • Provide consultation and day-to-day support to internal associates related to fraud investigations and loss mitigation opportunities
  • Provide operational coverage through operational hours
  • Maintain and manage a caseload while meeting competing SLA requirements.

What you will bring to the team:

  • 1-2 years of work experience with preferred experience in financial services, underwriting, compliance or similar fields
  • Knowledge of customer experience and financial services
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel and general knowledge of databases
  • Ability to research and resolve issues
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to meet stringent deadlines
  • Ability to achieve high production and quality standards
  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
  • Ability to effectively deal with ambiguity and a changing work environment

Final offers are determined based on a myriad of factors including, but not limited to experience, skills, qualifications, and other relevant business considerations. In addition to base pay, the total compensation package includes eligibility and potential for performance-based bonuses and equity grants dependent upon the role and job level.

$39,245$64,755 USD
