Role DescriptionAbout the Role

We’re looking for a hands‑on, strategic Director of FP&A to own our forecasting engine, bring clarity to our growth path, and embed finance as a true partner across the business. You’ll work directly with the VP of Finance and executive team to build and maintain a forward‑looking model that’s accurate, accountable, and actionable, helping guide mission‑aligned growth for our fintech/SaaS company powering nonprofits and empowering changemakers.

Responsibilities
  • Own end‑to‑end forecasting and planning processes, including company‑level models, departmental budgets, rolling re‑forecasts, and scenario trees.

  • Lead strategic modeling in partnership with the VP of Finance and senior leadership, including treasury modeling, payment monetization streams, and product‑led growth scenarios.

  • Maintain and evolve our Drivetrain model architecture with emphasis on transparency, automation, and decision readiness.

  • Deliver budget‑to‑actual analysis, KPI dashboards, and executive‑ready insights that fuel accountability across functions.

  • Serve as a business partner to GTM, PDE, G&A and treasury teams — translating goals into numbers, enabling budget owners, and supporting multi‑stream revenue planning.

  • Collaborate with the Finance Ops Manager to streamline planning inputs, improve forecast hygiene, increase Drivetrain adoption, and embed AI‑enabled workflows.

  • Champion finance automation: design and maintain self‑serve dashboards, pilot forecast‑update bots, and eliminate manual churn across financial planning.

What We’re Looking For
  • 5‑8+ years of FP&A experience in high‑growth SaaS, fintech, payment/processing, or platform business models.

  • Proven track record owning company‑wide planning cycles and operating models that include multiple revenue streams (e.g., subscription, processing, treasury).

  • Strong modeling skills (advanced Excel + experience with platforms such as Drivetrain, or equivalent).

  • Experience with treasury or payments economics, multi‑stream monetization (SaaS + fintech), and scenario planning for complex business models.

  • Analytical mindset and ability to distill complex data into actionable recommendations for business leaders.

  • Comfortable building from scratch, working cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment, and wearing multiple hats.

  • Experience enabling self‑serve finance models and driving adoption of planning tools across non‑finance stakeholders.

  • Executive presence: able to present to senior leadership, translate insights into strategy, and influence resource allocation.

Bonus Points
  • Background in fintech payments, treasury management, or payment‑processing economics.

  • Experience in mission‑driven / nonprofit‑tech contexts or platforms supporting social impact.

  • Proven ability to build automation in finance (AI/ML‑enabled workflows, bots, self‑serve dashboards).
