Wunder is building a Modern Energy Company.
We were founded with one simple vision: to address the greatest crisis of our generation by accelerating the deployment of solar energy. In doing so, we help businesses, municipalities, and schools save money by delivering clean on-site power. We convert simple warehouses into electrified industrial platforms built for the future. We enable the nation’s leading commercial and industrial real estate firms to capture the benefits of solar across their properties. We align ESG goals with revenue targets, and the renewable energy assets we’re deploying today will power America’s tomorrow.
Wunder currently holds more than $1 billion in solar assets under management and capital commitments. Our team has evaluated more than 10,000 properties for solar across all 50 states. Our average solar system - about 480 kilowatts in size - can offset 350,000 pounds of coal burned each year of system operation!
The RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for an analytical, curious, and detail-oriented finance professional to join our team and help push renewable energy forward. In this role, you’ll support Wunder’s FP&A function, working closely with senior leadership to build and refine the financial insights that drive our business decisions.
You’ll play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling, as well as in analyzing trends across revenue, costs, and performance metrics. You’ll help track company-wide spending, monitor KPIs, and support leadership with data-driven insights that guide strategic planning and resource allocation.
If you get excited about renewable energy, thrive in data-heavy environments, and want to help shape the financial future of a company that’s tackling climate change head-on, this is the role for you.
About YouA Strong Foundation - You have 3 - 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or analytics, ideally in a corporate or fast-paced startup setting. Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, or financial services is a plus.
Analytical & Data Driven - You enjoy diving into data to uncover insights. You’re proficient in Excel (and ideally Google Sheets) and comfortable working with large datasets. Bonus points for familiarity with financial modeling, SQL, or BI tools.
Insight Oriented - You don’t just report the numbers—you interpret them. You’re able to connect financial results to operational drivers and help explain why things are happening, not just what happened.
Curious & Resourceful - You’re eager to understand how the business works and aren’t afraid to ask questions or figure things out independently.
Detail-Oriented - You understand that small details drive big decisions. You take pride in accuracy, clarity, and producing clean, reliable analyses.
Organized & Proactive - You can juggle multiple projects at once, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
Collaborative - You’re team-oriented and excited to work cross-functionally with accounting and leadership to align on financial goals.
Mission Driven - You want to use your financial expertise to make a difference in the world—and believe that business and impact can go hand in hand.
Located in Boulder or Denver CO - Candidates must currently live in, or be willing to relocate to, the Boulder/Denver area. This is an in-person role and you will be working out of our Boulder office.
