Founding SDR (Sales Development Representative)

About Us

Nebulock is an agentic threat hunting platform that autonomously surfaces behaviors, not just IOCs, from various data sources. Nebulock acts like a teammate: a 24/7 AI threat hunter that investigates hypotheses, reasons through telemetry, and learns from an environment.

Today, threat hunting is broken. Security teams spend weeks chasing alerts, writing detections by hand, and manually validating findings often just to confirm what their existing tools already flagged. Meanwhile, attackers exploit credentials, move laterally, and operate in silence.

Nebulock flips the model. We continuously and autonomously hunt across endpoint, identity, and cloud telemetry identifying the subtle behavioral signals that point to credential misuse, lateral movement, insider threats, and post-access activity. Then we turn those hunts into hardened, behavior-based detections automatically.

Position Overview

As one of Nebulock's first Sales Development hires, you won't be sitting back running a script someone else wrote - you will be building the playbook itself, in the field, in front of the people who matter.

We're looking for a driven, entrepreneurial Founding SDR to help us open new territory from the ground up. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with our Enterprise Account Executives as a true partner in territory. That means real ownership: co-building account strategy, showing up at industry events and field meetings, building relationships with channel partners, and helping shape how we message and sell an entirely new category of security product.

At most companies, an SDR role is a stepping stone with a narrow lane. Here, you'll have a seat at the table from day one. Your fingerprints will be on our early pipeline, our first channel relationships, and our go-to-market motion. The decisions you make and the relationships you build will directly shape whether Nebulock's territory strategy succeeds. You are not "an SDR." You are a founding member of the team that puts Nebulock on the map.

Expected Impact
  • Generate and qualify pipeline for enterprise accounts through outbound prospecting, research, and creative multi-channel outreach

  • Travel within your assigned territory to represent Nebulock at industry conferences, security meetups, customer events, and channel partner functions - you'll be a face of the company in-market

  • Build and nurture relationships with channel partners to create new pipeline sources and accelerate deal velocity

  • Partner directly with your Account Executive(s) to co-own territory strategy, account prioritization, and event planning, acting as a true extension of the sales team, not a hand-off function

  • Represent Nebulock's point of view to CISOs and security leaders, translating our agentic threat hunting story into language that resonates with technical and executive buyers

  • Provide structured feedback to Marketing and Leadership on messaging, objections, and market response, helping shape our evolving go-to-market motion

  • Help build the foundation of Nebulock's SDR function itself. From outbound playbooks to event strategy to channel processes - knowing your early work becomes the template for the team that comes after you

Qualifications
  • 1+ year of experience as a Business Development Representative (BDR) or Sales Development Representative (SDR), ideally in cybersecurity, SaaS, or infrastructure technology

  • Comfortable and energized by travel - you're excited to be in the field, at events, and in front of partners and prospects.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with security practitioners and leaders

  • Self-starter mentality - comfortable with ambiguity and excited to help build process rather than simply follow it

  • Highly motivated with a strong hunger for growth, ownership, and impact

  • Team-first mentality with a low-ego, collaborative approach to building a company

Nice to Haves
  • Cybersecurity industry experience

  • Startup or early-stage company experience

  • Experience selling emerging technologies or security operations solutions

What We Offer
  • A dynamic startup environment with opportunities for rapid career growth

  • A collaborative culture that values innovation and creativity

  • Competitive salary and meaningful equity options

  • Comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k)

  • Opportunities to travel for conferences, workshops, customer meetings, and team-building events
