The CFO Administration team within UMB consists of multiple departments that report directly up to our Chief Financial Officer. UMB’s CFO Administration team provides support in a multitude of areas and across all lines of business- whether its basic booking keeping of expenses or financial reporting, each role impacts the overall profitability and survivability of the company. The CFO Administration team is much more than just a finance team, it expands into our various lines of businesses.
Each line of business within UMB has their own line finance team and within the line finance team there is a Senior Financial Analyst. The Senior Financial Analyst is the one who performs a variety of financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, building financial models, assisting with financial planning, performing research and analysis, preparing reports, and assisting with close processes. The Senior Financial Analyst provides financial analytics that influence our senior leadership to make informed strategic decisions that support the initiatives for their line of business. The Senior Financial analyst has a unique opportunity to network internally by working with a diverse group of business partners across all of UMB’s footprint. The role of a Senior Financial Analyst may be seen to some as just a support position in the background of the company, but in actuality they serve as a strong support in guiding our leadership to make decisions that impact the overall success of the company.

How you’ll spend your time:
Interpersonal skills will be used to explain analyses to senior leadership that will influence their strategic decisions.
Strong and detailed strategic analysis skills will be used to create and determine return on investments for a project or product, so that leadership can then determine the profitability or make effective modeling decision.
Ability to navigate in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power Point so that raw data can be turned it into an informational and effective presentation or report that will be presented to senior leadership.

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management (with emphasis in Accounting) OR related area OR equivalent work experience
3 years finance or related experience
Experience with Oracle PeopleSoft Financial Management or Hyperion

$83,810 - $131,550US Employees in Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin:
$76,520 - $120,210US Employees in all other states not listed above:
