Purpose and Job Summary

Lument, a subsidiary of ORIX USA, provides comprehensive solutions for multifamily, affordable, seniors and health care real estate. This includes a full suite of financing and advisory services such as investment banking, mortgage banking, private equity, balance sheet lending, and investment sales services..

The Investment Sales Financial Analyst is focused on supporting brokerage and client advisory services and commercial real estate transactions. This position will have the opportunity to be involved in every stage of the investment sales business , including underwriting, market research, property tours, and preparation of offering memorandums, marketing materials, as well as term sheet negotiation, closing and client meetings/events. Will work in a high-energy, team-focused environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare investment sales advisory packages and submissions for clients on multifamily assets, including market research, financial modeling and composition of executive summaries.
  • Responsible for complex financial modeling of multifamily transactions utilizing market data / comps to underwrite a potential transaction and associated financial metrics including Internal Rates of Return.
  • Responsible for the preparation of valuation analysis and marketing materials for Broker Opinion of Value (BOV's), Offering Memorandums (OM's), and working with investor clients to understand current and probable future value of investment real estate assets.
  • Manage the due diligence process and be the driving force in working through the marketing and closing processes for each transaction and be in constant communication with the broker / Producer, team, and clients.
  • Must be technically proficient in use of databases and be able to effectively identify what data from this system will be useful to determine trends and for preparation for pitches and meetings.
  • Review real estate documents (historical financial operating reports, leases, loan documents, appraisals, etc.) and have significant experience and skill in Excel.
  • Participate in weekly office meetings with Producers to discuss pipeline, deal status, market conditions and client leads.
  • Work professionally and diligently with team and coworkers.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

This position has frequent contact with all levels of employees and management. In addition, this role interacts with outside business partners, clients, vendors, consultants, and others.

Education, Skills & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Real Estate, Finance or Business Administration, or related field required, MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a financial analysis environment; mortgage or commercial real estate industry preferred.
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and strong time management skills to prioritize deadlines and operate in high pressure environments.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal quantitative, writing, and communication skills.
  • Strong writing skills with ability to communicate analytical and marketing data effectively.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information.
  • Ability to be a self-motivated and independent worker with a team player attitude.

Annual base salary gross: $70,000 - $90,000 (CO only). The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end of the ORIX USA’s salary for this position. Actual base salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base pay is one component of ORIX USA’s total compensation package for employees.
