GENERAL SUMMARY:
Develops and maintains customer portfolio.  Responsible for comprehensive financial planning for clients
 
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  1. Prospects new customers and solicits new business with assistance from Financial Advisor Officer or manager.   Cross-sells other banking services to new and existing customers.  Maintains on-going customer contact to ensure good customer relations.  
  2. Assists with comprehensive financial planning for clients and periodic client review.
  3. Be in compliance, following all policies and procedures.
  4. Participates in department meetings.
  5. Participates in civic and community organizations, representing the bank, but following personal interests.  
  6. Regular and reliable attendance.
  7. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of securities and investment products, policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of financial planning for individuals and business
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing practices and principles.
  • Skill in communicating with customers and co-workers in courteous and professional manner.
  • Skill in problem solving.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work within strict time constraints and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • College degree preferred.  
  • Prefer 1 -2 years’ experience

PHYSICAL DIMENSIONS:
Medium Work:  Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negotiable amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.  Job involves sitting most of the time and walking and standing some of the time.
