Want to help everyday Americans invest and build wealth? Financial inequality is increasing, and too many people are getting left behind. At Stash, we are passionate about democratizing wealth creation through education, advice, and products that help customers achieve greater financial freedom.
Stash is building a new service to provide customers with personalized, 1-on-1 financial guidance. We are seeking an experienced Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or similarly credentialed financial professional to join as a contract advisor for an initial pilot program. This role will involve conducting virtual sessions with Stash customers, offering general education and personalized recommendations, and helping them feel confident about their financial futures.
This is a short term pilot position with the potential to transition into a full-time role.
What You’ll Do- Offer actionable recommendations without creating formal financial plans or providing follow-up work beyond the session
- Maintain professionalism and ensure advice is consistent with Stash’s educational approach and regulatory requirements
- Engage with prospective clients from Stash’s existing base of over 1 million customers, helping them understand the value of personalized financial guidance and encouraging them to book advisory sessions
- Conduct virtual 30-minute sessions with customers, providing education and personalized guidance based on their goals and financial situation
- Review customer profiles, history, and AI Money Coach insights prior to each session to ensure discussions are relevant and valuable
- Use AI-powered recording and transcription tools to capture session content, with transcripts fed into Stash’s AI Money Coach, and add brief highlights or key action points for future reference
- Work with Stash’s internal team to provide feedback that will help refine the service during the pilot phase
- Active CFP certification required (other relevant designations such as CPA, ChFC, AFC may be considered), Series 65 or Series 7/66 combination.
- Minimum of 3 years of direct client-facing financial advising experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex topics in simple terms
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building something new, excited by the opportunity to scale an advising practice using modern tools like AI-driven customer insights, virtual planning sessions, and access to a large built-in client base
- Comfort working in a virtual environment using online meeting platforms and digital tools
- Ability to operate as an independent contractor, including managing your own schedule and availability
- Ability to be properly licensed and authorized to operate in all US states
- Must not be currently affiliated with another broker-dealer or RIA. This role requires sole advisory engagement with Stash during the contract period.
