## Role Summary
As a Financial Accountant, you will support day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, and financial reporting. This role is ideal for early-career professionals (0–5 years) who want hands-on experience across core accounting functions in a fast-paced environment.
## Key Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate general ledger records, including journal entries, accruals, and reclassifications
* Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities (reconciliations, schedules, variance explanations)
* Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts (bank, AR/AP clearing, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accruals)
* Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed (coding, matching, invoicing support, collections follow-up)
* Help prepare internal financial reports and management-ready summaries (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow support)
* Support budgeting/forecasting by providing historical data, trend analysis, and ad hoc reporting
* Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies; help document processes and improve workflows
* Assist with external requests such as audits, tax support, and vendor/customer documentation
## Required Qualifications
* 0–5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related internships/entry-level roles
* Working knowledge of accounting fundamentals (GAAP concepts, debits/credits, reconciliations)
* Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, basic formulas)
* Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to meet deadlines
* Clear written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative mindset
* High integrity and ability to handle confidential information
## Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
* Experience with accounting software/ERPs (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, Xero) and expense tools
* Exposure to month-end close, financial reporting, or audit support
* Experience in hospitality, events, travel, or service-based businesses

* You can independently complete assigned reconciliations with clear support schedules
* Month-end close tasks are delivered on time with minimal rework
* You proactively flag discrepancies and propose practical fixes
* Financial data is organized, traceable, and ready for review or audit requests
