Role Description

We are looking for an Finance Specialist - Accounting and FP&A to help drive our financial success at Facet. This is a hybrid role with accounting at its core, and complementary financial planning and analysis (FP&A) responsibilities, giving you a holistic view of our business. You will be a key player in ensuring the integrity of our financial records, transactions and forecasts, collaborating with teams across the company to support timely and accurate financial reporting. Responsibilities:

  • Accounting
    • Assist with general ledger maintenance, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
    • Support the month-end and year-end close process, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules.
    • Assist in the preparation of US GAAP-compliant financial statements, footnotes and supporting schedules.
    • Perform recurring accounting activities including account reconciliations and transaction reviews to maintain accurate, timely, and US GAAP-compliant financial records.
    • Support accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to company policies.
    • Prepare and maintain documentation to support the external audit, including audit schedules and reconciliations.
    • Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting policies, internal controls, and process automation initiatives.  
  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
    • Help update and maintain the company's financial model to support forecasting and budgeting.
    • Support the preparation of monthly financial reporting packages and dashboards for leadership, providing clear insights into business performance.
    • Act as relied-upon cross-functional business partner, helping build models to evaluate and support ad-hoc strategic initiatives.
    • Assist with routine variance analysis, helping to identify and explain performance against plan and prior periods.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or Finance with strong accounting coursework).
  • 1-3 years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 or national firm preferred) and/or in a corporate finance & accounting, or a related role.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, nested formulas and etc) with the ability to build and update financial models.
  • Comfortable working across both accounting and FP&A functions.
  • Good understanding of US GAAP and internal control principles. 
  • Fast learner who thrives in a dynamic, changing, and cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills- both written and verbal; team-first mindset.
  • Experience working with accounting software, preferably NetSuite
  • Enthusiasm for process improvement, automation and the use of emerging technologies (including AI) to enhance efficiency in accounting and finance.

  • $90,000 - $110,000 base salary + bonus + equity determined by the experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant - Please note, our salary ranges are based on current market data.
