The Finance Director oversees company finances, develops strategies to leverage market advantages, and manages financial models and cash flow forecasts.

Overview:
We're looking for Finance Directors to take the wheel and actually drive, not just sit in the passenger seat holding a bunch of spreadsheets. This isn't a "make the numbers look nice and file them away" kind of job. It's a "know the business and products to build financial models, performance analysis interactions to drive business forward, and think through proper investment areas" kind of job.
One day you could be maintaining real-time cash flow forecasts across multiple companies, not once a quarter, always. Then you could own the entire flow of internal and external reporting, start to finish. Another day you're impacting revenue by digging deep into invoice design and notification flows. No hand-offs, no "that's not my job." It's your job.
Maybe you'll handle tax stuff, but not the boring, compliance-only version. You'll think about tax the smart way, the "how do we keep more of our money and not get wrecked by surprises" way.
You'll need to know how we make, keep, and expand the money - we are different and proud of our approach. You'll get under the hood, figure out what actually drives this business, and help us keep our edge, our Death Star, sharp and ready.
We get it, maybe you can't check all those experiences but you check enough of them and have the internal drive that you can partner up with another director who compliments those super talents you bring. You'll help us run a lean, efficient, scrappy finance operation that keeps up with a company that moves fast.
If you like taking action, simplifying the complex, and using numbers to build a better business, not just a prettier spreadsheet that you read to someone, this might be the job you've been waiting for.

  • Trail Mix Bar --- oh yeah

Responsibilities:
  • Really learn our business, why we do what we do, how that drives our performance and contribute to continuing and expanding our growth
  • Continuously demonstrate you have financial street smarts, not only academic intelligence in finance
  • Keep for a live pulse on multiple companies with great sense on where its heading and how finance can influence that future outcome
  • Know how to use reporting, not to create fancy spreadsheets, but to take action with business colleagues
  • Develop your team and colleagues beyond their perceived potential
  • You'll apply because you believe your ready, that means you know what responsibilities are for a highly successful leader in a finance team...fill in the missing bullets with confidence!

Requirements:
  • You've got financial street smarts, the kind you earned by doing, not just studying
  • You can explain things simply because you actually understand them
  • You're scrappy. You figure it out. You fix it. You don't wait for permission
  • You've built up incredible experience in financial operations, reporting, and/or revenue, and your colleagues say your great as you've transformed their financial operations to a higher place so they will be inconsolably distraught when you leave
  • You don't need layers of meetings or a 12-step plan. You need a goal,a starting point, then you can manifest that goal
  • You like things to be clear, fast, and useful
  • You work well with other smart weirdos
