Senior Finance Business Partner: Digital Brand Services
Wilmington, DE
Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Hybrid (three days in office per week and two days work from home)
A Finance Business partner at CSC is a partner to the business. He/she serves an important role in reporting, analyzing, forecasting and budgeting the revenue, operational and capital expenses for his/her business unit. An expert Finance Business Partner at CSC is there to perform business analytics and partake in project decision support and strategic planning. The goal of this job role is to become a trusted business partner to DBS, providing business enhancing analysis, guidance and recommendations. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of strong senior financial analyst or standalone finance manager/supervisor/business partner experience. Successful candidates will have astrong analytical skill set, with experience in product analysis, financial performance management and forecasting coupled with advanced Excel skills; experience with fx and global markets recommended.
Some of the things you will be doing:
- This role will act as the direct financial advisor to one of CSCs business units, DBS. You will work closely with senior leadership and will be ultimately responsible for the creation of business plans, identifying value creation opportunities and enhancing overall business performance
- Gather and analyze sales and operations data and make recommendations for action based on conclusions of the analysis. You will also make recommendations to constituents regarding system and process improvements.
- Lead the business unit's quarterly forecast and annual budget process, including revenue, employee expenses and non-employee expenses as well as capital investment planning.
- Work closely with business partners at all levels to analyze financial and business performance, provide recommendations, partake in strategic initiatives and prepare and deliver findings to senior leadership.
- Perform various financial calculations, create specified ad hoc reports, graphs, and charts of financial data. Responsible for day-to-day financial operational activities of DBS.
What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?
- 5+ years' experience preparing / analyzing budgets & forecasts.
- Business experience in financial analysis / financial planning working for a medium or large company.
- Capital investment planning, analysis and management.
- Experience supporting a global business, including strong background in FX expose/impact analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
- Strong experience in database query functionality in PowerBI, Microsoft Access, Business Objects, or other reporting tools
- Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel (VBA preferred) and data visualization tools.
- Experience working in Oracle, SAP, or similar financial systems.
- Thorough understanding of financial metrics and accounting principles as well as knowledge of US GAAP Accounting standards.
- Ability to analyze data from multiple sources, spot emerging trends, and develop and present recommendations to senior management.
- Advanced communication skills and ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the company, with a strong focus on senior leadership.
- Self-motivated with ability to operate independently within a team structure.
- Strong organizational and process improvement skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, shift priorities and meet deadlines.
