Role Overview
The Finance & Administration Lead (Director Track) at DM Vans is a high-impact role built for someone with upside—a hands-on finance operator who wants to grow into full director-level ownership. This role leads the financial health and administrative backbone of the business and oversees the core functions of Finance, HR, and IT, ensuring they work together to support a stable, scalable, EOS-driven organization.
You will own the company’s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting; ensure accurate and efficient AR/AP and payroll; provide financial insights and scenario analysis to guide strategy; uphold compliance and internal controls; and support HR, office administration, and IT so the rest of the team can focus on building and selling Lifestyle Vehicles®.
Importantly: our current Director of Finance & Administration has stepped back into a fractional role and will be available for training, mentorship, and oversight as the new hire ramps and grows into full director-level ownership.
This role reports directly to the President.

Key Responsibilities
1) Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting (Finance)
- Develop and own annual and quarterly budgets, aligned with EOS tools (10-Year Target, 3-Year Picture, 1-Year Plan, Rocks).
- Build and maintain forecasts and financial models (including scenario analysis) to support strategic decision-making and risk assessment.
- Monitor cash flow, margins, and key financial metrics; recommend actions to protect and improve financial health.
- Partner with the President and Leadership Team to translate financial insights into clear operational decisions and priorities.
2) AR/AP, Payroll & Core Financial Operations (Finance)
- Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and cash timing.
- Ensure accurate, timely payroll processing (via Gusto or similar) and proper accounting for wages, benefits, and taxes.
- Drive process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and internal control in daily financial operations.
- Maintain a reliable month-end close process and support clean, audit-ready financial records.
3) Financial Insights, Modeling & Strategic Guidance (Finance)
- Produce clear, recurring financial reports (P&L, cash flow, balance sheet, variance analysis) for the Leadership Team and Owners.
- Perform financial modeling and scenario analysis to evaluate key strategic decisions (pricing, inventory, headcount, capital projects, debt structures, etc.).
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to the President—bringing data-driven perspectives on growth, risk, and tradeoffs.
- Support banking/lender needs through transparent communication, reporting, and performance tracking.
4) Compliance, Controls & Risk Management (Finance)
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial, legal, and regulatory requirements (taxes, reporting, employment-related obligations, etc.).
- Design and maintain internal controls, policies, and SOPs that protect company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Support risk management strategies, including insurance coverage and mitigation plans in partnership with ownership and advisors.
- Ensure accurate and compliant RV sales paperwork (billing, titling, registration, financing, etc.) in collaboration with Sales and Operations.
5) HR Support & Administration (HR)
- Provide leadership oversight for HR, ensuring strong practices in recruitment and onboarding, benefits administration, employee records, and basic employee relations support.
- Support benefits management (health, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO policies) with HR support staff and external vendors as needed.
- Ensure HR practices align with employment laws and company policies while reflecting DM Vans’ Core Values.
- Maintain clear HR processes (onboarding/offboarding checklists, documentation standards, handbook updates in partnership with HR).
6) IT Oversight & Systems Support (IT)
- Provide leadership oversight for IT, ensuring core tools and systems support day-to-day operations (Odoo, Google Workspace, Gusto, and other business applications).
- Partner with the IT & Facilities Specialist to align IT priorities with Finance, Operations, Sales, CX, and HR needs.
- Promote strong IT fundamentals: access controls, MFA/password policies, backups, and simple, documented workflows.
- Ensure technology investments align with budget, scalability, and risk management goals.
7) Office & Facilities Administration (Admin)
- Oversee office and facilities administration at 6 Powerline Rd., ensuring a safe, functional, and productive environment.
- Align facilities spending and projects with financial plans and company priorities.
8) Leadership, Management & Accountability (LMA)
- Help drive an EOS-style operating cadence within Finance/HR/IT: clear ownership, repeatable processes, and accountability.
- Build simple scorecards for Finance/HR/IT and help leaders get the data they need to run effective L10s.
- Maintain clean handoffs and communication across departments, bringing clarity and calm execution to complex situations.
Reporting & Performance Metrics
You’ll help DM Vans track and improve:
- Budget Adherence: Spending aligned with approved budgets; clear variance analysis.
- Financial Reporting Accuracy & Timeliness: On-time monthly close and leadership reporting with minimal corrections.
- Cash Flow Management: Stable/improving cash position and predictable cash runway.
- Operational Efficiency (Finance/HR/IT/Admin): Reduced manual work, clearer processes, and improved team satisfaction with support functions.
- System Efficiency & Adoption (IT): Reliable use of Odoo and core tools; improved data quality and usability.
- HR Metrics: Employee satisfaction with HR processes and benefits; timely completion of onboarding and other HR processes.
- Risk & Compliance: Clean filings, minimal compliance issues, appropriate insurance and internal controls.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
- 3+ years in a finance, accounting, or business operations role with increasing responsibility; experience in small to mid-sized businesses is a plus.
- Strong competency in budgeting, forecasting, AR/AP, and financial reporting; comfort building models and doing scenario analysis.
- Comfortable working with ERP/financial systems (Odoo preferred) and supporting tool adoption across teams.
- Working knowledge of HR and IT fundamentals (benefits/payroll coordination, basic compliance, systems access/security best practices).
- Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities with strong follow-through.
- Clear communicator who can translate financial insights into practical decisions for non-finance teammates.
- Familiarity with EOS/Traction is a plus, or willingness to learn and operate within EOS.

Compensation & Growth
- Base Salary: Starting at $90,000 (DOE).
- We’re open to two profiles:
- a proven finance leader who can run this seat now, or
- a high-capability hands-on finance operator ready to grow into full director-level ownership

Physical Requirements & Work Location
- On-site is preferred at 6 Powerline Rd., Rifle, CO, with regular presence to stay closely connected to operations, leadership, and the team.
- Hybrid or remote arrangements may be considered for the right candidate, but the role requires consistent availability for on-site meetings and key operating rhythms.
- Must be located in Colorado.
- Primarily office-based work, with periodic collaboration in an active shop/production environment.
- Ability to move between office and warehouse areas, attend on-site meetings, and review physical operations as needed.
