Job Description:

Position

The Field Enablement Strategist turns HPE Networking priorities into practical seller actions, sustained field adoption, and measurable business results. Working with the North America GTM Enablement Lead and cross-functional partners, this role develops cross-portfolio sales plays, learning experiences, and reinforcement that accelerate field adoption of new technologies, customer-value stories, and repeatable selling motions. The ideal candidate combines hands-on enterprise networking sales and/or sales engineering experience with the ability to drive field adoption through clear storytelling, customer scenarios, practical tools, and ongoing coaching.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shape the North America field adoption strategy for HPE Networking priorities—including cross-sell, competitive takeout, new-logo acquisition, and solution-led selling—by defining target audiences, desired seller behaviors, and measures of success.
  • Advise the North America GTM Enablement Lead and sales leaders on capability priorities by diagnosing seller needs, field barriers, customer opportunities, and gaps in current enablement.
  • Architect cross-portfolio sales plays and adoption journeys that connect networking technologies to customer outcomes, use cases, discovery questions, competitive positioning, and repeatable cross-sell motions.
  • Design scalable learning and reinforcement approaches—including workshops, peer learning, and opportunity-based practice—that help sellers apply new technologies confidently in customer conversations.
  • Define the content strategy and standards for seller-facing assets, microlearning, demonstrations, simulations, and AI-enabled experiences; partner with subject-matter experts to ensure relevance, consistency, and reuse.
  • Integrate consultative and value-based selling principles across sales plays, learning experiences, and reinforcement to promote consistent customer-focused selling behaviors.
  • Establish field adoption measures and performance insights in partnership with sales and cross-functional teams; evaluate seller engagement, opportunity application, pipeline indicators, and business impact to recommend improvements and future investments.

Required Experience

  • 8+ years of relevant experience, including direct sales and/or sales engineering experience selling enterprise networking technologies.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of networking technologies and experience positioning solutions across a broad portfolio to address customer needs and create cross-sell opportunities.
  • Proven ability to design and facilitate engaging in-person and virtual sales training that uses storytelling, customer scenarios, and simple approaches to help sellers understand and sell new networking technologies.
  • Ability to translate technical capabilities into clear customer stories, use cases, discovery questions, and repeatable sales actions.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-influence skills, with credibility across sellers, sales engineers, sales leaders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Track record of turning strategy into field adoption, sustained behavior change, pipeline progression, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, manage multiple priorities, and use data and field feedback to improve adoption and enablement effectiveness.
  • Ability to travel as needed for field workshops and sales events.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience selling or supporting enterprise networking solutions across campus, data center, wireless, switching, routing, security, network management, or AIOps.
  • Experience driving field adoption during portfolio integration, cross-sell expansion, or GTM transformation.
  • Familiarity with consultative or value-based sales methodologies and opportunity coaching.
  • Experience using AI, simulations, video, peer learning, or other scalable approaches to make technical sales learning engaging and practical.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience; relevant sales, learning, or networking certification is a plus.
