Position Description: As Caliola's Facilities & Maintenance Technician , you are the key to ensuring our corporate spaces are safe, efficient, and inspiring. You'll be responsible for day-to-day hands-on facilit ies and maintenance . A critical part of your role will be executing construction and renovation projects from concept to completion . Finally, you will ensure our facilities are always in full compliance with environmental, health, and security regulations.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Performs a variety of facility maintenance functions including, but not limited to, building/facility maintenance, repair duties on structural, mechanical, electrical, HVAC and sanitary systems .
- G eneral upkeep of the building's interior and exterior and related equipment and machinery including the maintenance of office furniture and equipment and the build out of workstations.
- Analyzes maintenance repair requests and identifies problems and implements solutions.
- Receives, inspects, and organizes incoming shipments, ensuring accurate documentation and proper storage.
- Coordinates various vendors and contractors in the maintenance and repair of equipment.
- Completes preventative maintenance on equipment and building systems.
- Keeps records for preventative maintenance for machines and equipment.
What We Require :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems. This is crucial for troubleshooting, overseeing repairs, and communicating with contractors.
- W orking knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations, building codes, and safety standards (e.g., OSHA, ADA) to ensure compliance.
Minimum Physical Requirements:
- Must possess verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time .
- Ability to trans ition between sitting and standing as needed to complete job-related tasks.
- A bility to safely climb portable and stationary ladders and work off them .
- Ability to safe l y lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision , distance vision , low light vision, and bright light vision .
- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach as needed to complete job-related tasks .
- Ability and dexterity to grasp, handle, and manipulate small items such as, but not limited to, nails, screws, drills, levels , documents.
