About the Role

We are looking for a Facilities and Maintenance Lead to join our rapidly growing venture-backed company. This role will own our daily facilities and maintenance operations based in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you’ll be the liaison between the stakeholders, technicians, supervisors & the General Manager with regards to equipment maintenance, internal construction, work orders, project schedulings, and other logistical needs. The Facilities Maintenance Lead helps to lead Dandy’s Facilities team and further our mission by creating an environment for high performing teams that allows them to realize their true potential.

The ideal candidate loves to tackle complex problems and move quickly. They have strong personal accountability for results, a desire for excellence, and comfort operating in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

  • Providing leadership for our dental lab facility

  • Providing oversight of design and implementation for a multitude of facilities projects involving building modifications and improvements.

  • Work will concentrate on providing direction and facilities support to key stakeholders, such as determining efficient use of space within office areas and labs, etc.

  • Developing project outlines to modify building to meet customer’s needs

  • Managing projects and driving them to completion on time and within budget

  • Managing technicians of various trades and skills supporting facilities

  • Interfacing and coordinating with various departments for project planning and problem solving

  • Familiarity with architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, hazardous materials and fire safety systems design and specs

  • Preparation of plans, schedules, and cost estimates

  • Preparing bid documents including drawings and scopes-of-work

  • Soliciting bids, conducting job walks, receiving, and evaluating bids

  • Preparing purchase requests, ROI calculations, and executive summaries

  • Submitting proposals

  • Coordinating contractors and city inspections

  • Preparing punch lists and ensuring contractors complete all work on schedule

  • Preparing permit applications and reports as required for compliance with all applicable laws

  • Keeping track of equipment maintenance orders and tools calibrations as required

What We're Looking For

  • Ability to be full-time in office Mon-Fri

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering

  • 5+ years relevant, industry experience

  • Manufacturing maintenance experience is required

  • Demonstrated proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the English language

  • Proven to be self-motivated, self-directed, and eager to take ownership of tasks to ensure a solution

  • Naturally organized and detail-oriented

  • Must be quality and safety oriented

  • Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
