What you will do

The EM Site Manager is responsible for achieving specific performance metrics in areas of site execution, cost, service, quality, and environmental health & safety while managing all aspects of manufacturing operations within the assigned external manufacturing sites (contract sites) to include product supply, logistics and distribution, capacity/planning, capabilities assessment, inventory control, purchasing, quality services, negotiations, and engineering.

Critical responsibilities include leading a cross-functional team to resolve product supply issues and drive results on a worldwide, regional and local basis, facilitating execution of legally binding supply agreements, supporting and ensuring contractors’ achievement of monthly plan attainment goals, identifying and delivering Cost Improvement Projects (CIPs) to lower total product cost, identifying and obtaining resources to tackle issues, develop manufacturing strategies to improve site performance and product supply, leading the execution of new product launches at contract sites, and ensuring customer commitments for product availability are met.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Resolving quality/GMP issues

  • Implementing LEAN methodology and leading continuous improvement initiatives

  • Developing business continuity plans to ensure continued supply in an emergency situation, including identification of qualified sources of supply and manufacturing sites based on product requirements and marketing strategies as they relate to manufacturing requirements

  • Developing supply market knowledge within key processing technologies to enable rapid benchmarking and accelerated selection of alternative contract sites

  • Conducting ongoing analysis of total end-to-end costs of supply, proposing and leading implementation of cost improvements, conducting analysis and developing plans that support implementation of “EM managed” or “Kenvue managed” supply arrangements for materials used in manufacturing

  • Developing plans and implementing actions to reduce lead-times and optimize inventory levels

  • Conducting ongoing capacity analysis of contract sites and developing action plans to proactively mitigate capacity risk

  • Coordinating efficient implementation of product/process changes at contract sites

  • Instructing personnel on the Company’s vision and World Class manufacturing applications, as well as Kenvue Worldwide standards on labor, and working with sites to address all deficiencies

  • Coordinating EH&S assessments and action plans

  • Leading efforts to consolidate materials management at sites to gain volume leverage and reduce complexity

  • Promoting and maintaining professional communication standards to those inside and outside of the organization - professional interaction with suppliers is critical to this role

  • Coordination and leading root cause analysis as well as identification of alternatives / options and solutions with internal business partners as well as suppliers and contract sites

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree.   

  • A minimum of 8 years related experience Manufacturing, Procurement, Supply Chain Sourcing, and/or Supply Planning. 

  • Experience working with Manufacturing Operations in a GMP environment.

  • An entrepreneurial self-starter with strong oral and written communication skills, comfortable communicating across functions and levels.

  • Strong organizational, project management, and analytical skills.     

  • Demonstrated effectiveness in establishing and managing relationships with internal and external business partners to meet tactical and strategic business needs.

  • Demonstrated effectiveness leading and influencing cross-functional project teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA with 6 years in any of the following areas is preferred:  Supply Chain/Operations, Contract Manufacturing, Production Planning, and/or Materials Management

  • Prior experience establishing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreement (SLAs) for critical vendors.

  • Prior knowledge of Advanced planning/EFP systems such as MRP and/or SAP.

  • Training/experience with Lean Six Sigma/Process Excellence methodologies.

What’s in it for you

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:

$124,100.00 - $175,200.00

This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
