Seneca Holdings is seeking a External Communication and Brand Manager. This team member is responsible for shaping and amplifying the organization’s image through strategic communication initiatives and brand stewardship. This role leads the development and execution of external messaging across media relations, thought leadership, digital platforms, and brand campaigns to ensure consistent, compelling, and aligned representation of the company’s values and vision. The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator and brand strategist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can build strong relationships with media, partners, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement external communication strategies that support business objectives and enhance brand reputation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for media relations, including press releases, interviews, and crisis communications.
  • Lead brand positioning efforts, ensuring consistency across all external touchpoints including digital, print, and experiential channels.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., internal communications, executive leadership, HR) to align messaging and amplify key initiatives.
  • Manage external agency relationships and oversee the production of branded content and campaigns.
  • Monitor media coverage, public sentiment, and industry trends to inform strategy and identify opportunities.
  • Support executive visibility through thought leadership, speaking engagements, and editorial content.
  • Provide strategic direction for social media platforms, content development and editorial calendars.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in external communications, public relations, or brand management, preferably in a corporate or agency environment.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong understanding of media landscape, digital communications, and brand strategy.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders with professionalism and agility.
  • Experience with crisis communication and reputation management.
  • Experience with social media strategy, tools and analytics.
  • Proficiency in communication tools, media monitoring platforms, and brand management systems.
Desired Experience:
  • People management experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or similar field.
