Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Work as part of our technical leadership team coordinating with our corporate growth teams to understand prospective customer requirements and their technical environments and constraints.
- Lead technical discovery sessions to understand and translate customer desires into high-level architecture that demonstrates domain understanding, addresses customer needs, and aligns with S&I capabilities
- Help refine how the organization communicates its technical capabilities to potential customers
- Collaborate with software development staff to build targeted prototype implementations to address customer needs
- Contribute to proposal submittals and request for information (RFI) responses
- Work closely with software and systems engineering teams using an Agile development process
- Own the product prototyping lifecycle, from discovery through design and implementation, to customer demonstration and presentation
- Work with senior systems engineers to discover requirements and shape project execution kickoff
Required Skills & Experience
- Clearance Required: Active DoD Secret
- BS or advanced degree in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or similar relevant field
- Experience with software based remote sensing systems including planning and scheduling, ground control, data processing, and command and control domains
- 10+ years of experience with software product design or systems engineering and integration
- General knowledge of Systems Engineering practices, Product Management, and Agile development methodologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience with team productivity tools such as JIRA and Confluence, GitLab, or Microsoft equivalents (Azure DevOps, etc.)
- Experience with software tools data analytics, prototyping, and/or production software
- Working knowledge of AI/ML enabled technologies in both business use and/or production system use
