The position requires a customer focus, a data-informed approach, and awareness of current practices for mobile and browser UX design. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity, passionate about design, and able to perform at a high level.
Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Chicago, IL.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Applies user centered design methods to design elegant, simple and intuitive solutions that aligns business goals and user needs - specifically within the Offers & Coupons domain
- Advocates for the customer throughout the product lifecycle - ensuring their needs are central to design decisions
- Partners with User Research team and conducts remote user research to validate concepts and design decisions
- Collaborates, coordinates, and influences design peers to deliver a consistent and cohesive user experience across our digital platforms
- Bring a mobile-first mindset to cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, and business stakeholders
- Present work effectively to a range of audiences, from design teams to business stakeholders and executives, tailoring the level of detail appropriately
- Takes pride in producing clear deliverables including flows, wireframes, visual design, high-fidelity comps, and front-end annotations
- Documents expected transitions, animations and micro-interactions through prototypes as needed
- Delivers work that adheres to brand standards, WCAG 2.0 accessibility guidelines, internal design system and experience principles
- Partner with scrum teams to ensure designs are implemented as intended and help resolve unexpected challenges during development
- Champion continuous improvements to the customer experience by leveraging market analysis, customer feedback, usage analytics, stakeholder input, and design research insights
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in an ecommerce or digital agency as a product designer, user experience designer, interaction designer, or similar role
- Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience
- Experience working with User Research or conducting research, interpreting and applying findings
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, etc., and understanding of front-end development technologies
- Experience working in product operating model a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ecommerce and transactional experiences strongly preferred
- Comfortable designing experiences for native app and responsive web
- Experience working with design systems and adapting white label solutions for multiple brand applications
- A portfolio that demonstrates systematic and creative design thinking as well as a deep understanding of UX/UI best practices
- Ability to navigate constraints and complexity while maintaining composure; recognizes when to push back diplomatically, apply the right UX methods and rigor accordingly, and asks for help and direction when needed
- Thinks deeply to understand the problem space and is curious to rapidly explore potential solutions that aligns with customer needs
- Constantly explores ways to improve the way our products work AND look
- Has a collaborative spirit; enjoys working closely with colleagues in design, research, product management and engineering
